WNS Global Reviews

Perfect working enviroment

Working for WNS Global is quite stressful at time , but experience wise it there's alot to learn , the relationship with my co-workers is excellent as we work as Team and have great communication with each other. I have learnt that if we working as team it is possible to achieve a positive goal, and working with Telkom customer is such a great experience because you come across different types of people and engage with them . The most challenging part of my job is having to apologise for the company's mistakes or other individuals .

Pros: Great work experience.
Cons: Long hours

Opportunity to learn and equip yourself with knowledge and experience

A typical day a work would be answering calls, resolving customer's problems and making the day productive. The relationship with co-workers is great as i am a talkative person so i get along very well with my colleagues, we give each other that respect and we work very well with each other. I have learnt that in life you have go for what you want, you must not sit and wait for it to come to you. I enjoy having chats with my colleagues and just making the most at work. The most challenging aspect of my job is not being able to explain what the problem is or how to explain it.

Pros: If they see potential in you they give you the opportunity to prove yourself
Cons: The hours are very long and tiring

Customer service

I am working a shift environment we have 07:00-16:00, 08:00- 17:00 and 12:00 - 21:00. I am working well with my colleagues due to if we don’t understand something we discuss and help each other without criticizing. I have learn a lot specially with Telkom product and configuration of each product . I enjoy providing best service to customer and when customer's appreciate the hard work and effort that we are doing as a team. Most challenging part is due to I am multi skill I turn to attend different queues and I sometimes don't finish the whole allocation or I put it on hold due to urgent queries that need my attention and when I get back to the allocation time has passed and I have to provide feedback to customer, supervisor and management. I have to fix all the errors and mistakes that took place and do extra mile regardless of this is not related to my department or not and I have to go up and down the get the relevant information so that the customer will be happy due to customer comes first.

Pros: I learn new thing everyday and dealing with different customer and put smile on their faces
Cons: Working late and customer are not available specially business's due to they are operating between 08:00-17:00 and that makes my job to be difficult

Customer service experience and great learning Curve

Working in a call centre you will Learn to be flexible and patient. Working with Customers important to the company and the client requires a large amount understanding. We were thought to meet targets that are high while maintaining a healthy relationship with co workers and superiors. I personally enjoyed lunch time as this was the only time you will get a chance to calm down. Pay day was the best day ever since my over time money was the best reward ever showing how put in and dedicating your time paid of month end. Most challenging aspect is when the process changed with us being briefed or given a heads and you will then find your self at fault and have to defend your self. Working in a call centre is a lot of pressure as everything is time based and has different processes to be followed. We learn to maintain good work ethic reliability to conduct duties correctly and efficiently.

Pros: good work ethic and handling work pressure
Cons: Long working hours for a small wage

Ideal for starters

The culture at WNS is suitable for development and industry debutants . Bonuses are mostly very good but salaries and yearly increments are poor. Performance evaluation systems are ineffective , ops processes and procedures are restrictive and lack agility. There is a massive culture gap contributing to a lack of cohesiveness and effeciency. High degree of difficulty for non whites to break into senior management positions. Policies are designed to oppress staff. Not much Pro staff initiatives in place . If you are starting your career then WNS is the ideal place for you. Seasoned professionals wont stay long.

Pros: Lots of development opportunities
Cons: Low salaries and increments

Mastered leadership skills

Working for this company, really helped me develop my stronger abilities such as customer service, objective handling and perseverance. I have also been able to resolve situations within the work place and outside the work place with tools I was given during training. The company helps you to understand what your limits are more clearly thus preventing you from setting unrealistic expectations. I am a go getter and driven person, I don't give up easily and know my self worth. Compare to other companies I worked for, my ability was tested daily and because of the need to succeed, its become a habit to always perform at a maximum level. I enjoyed the environment, very friendly, warm and exciting because you don't know what to expect everyday is something new. The challenges were the long hours and difficult customers.

Pros: Great growth opportunities
Cons: Long hours

I have an excellent learning curve and strive to maintain it

I am a self starter and a complete extrovert. I speak easily and do not like conflict, although I handle it very well. I work in a team currently so interact very easily. A typical day at work is hugging my team mates, talking about the errors and challenges of the previous day and then asking for help. I've learn a lot in many areas and like to help out. I ensure that my work doesn't suffer because of this, though. I enjoy going on team buidlings and taking the lead in team meetings. I also like to teach and learn at the same time as I believe that one is never too old to learn. My most challenging aspect of my job is to explain how I cannot reduce a customer's payments when they are in debt, but still do it as I have to have an honest , professional conversation.

Pros: I want to be promoted only where growth is offered, but this is not currently the case where I am.
Cons: I currently work long hours and this why I am looking to explore other fields as I've been a mom of a little girl of 3 years old and I would love to spend more time with her if possible.

I am a very intelligent person & with loads of zest. I am go getter and i work hard.

I have been in the call centre industry for almost 5 years, it has transformed me from being an introvert to become a very expressive and talkactive person. I grow to enjoy serving people and providing solutions. I started working as a sales consulted for a network service provider the position groomed me and helped me think off my feet and out of the box. I was literally selling cellphone products over the phone to a person that already has a phone that i was calling them on.That means my duties was to provide the best service and educate them as to why my product is the best from what they have, i moved from sales to customer service, i now work for an Energy company my typical day at work is to assist customers with their bill query and offer energy efficiency adviced, educate them about our products be transparent about ways they can start saving money.

Pros: Opportunity to grow within the company
Cons: Late shift with no transport home
