Experience working here

Its a learning curve
Attend meetings , Do risk assessments and inspections do reports and attend to safety at events Assist with emergencies when needed the most challenging aspect is to work with minimal resources

Experience learned in the academia is priceless!
What makes my work worth a while in the academia is the unstructured activities and the unanticipated chaos that comes with the role. I can plan my day in advance but in some instances find myself having to reprioritise what is important and urgent. Therefore being spontaneous and flexible becomes paramount in managing the role of transformation and talent. My role involves managing talent, transformation, social justice and compliance. I have good working relationship with my key stakeholders, the senior executive team, Head of Schools and departments including the Senior Management group and students. I have learned to be resilient and stay calm in difficult situations. Working with such a large cohort of people, more than 30 000 students and 5000 employees have exposed me to the real challenges of human rights and the dire need to address talent management of academics. I truly enjoy making a difference in the lives of the students and my colleagues in the university.

Giving Solutions to problem
Currently, I am a part time tutor at the University of the Witwatersrand, and I have BSc degree majoring in mathematics and physics, and BSc honours in Geophysics, where I obtained skills such as data analysing, data processing, modelling, and programming with MATLAB. So far I have learnt working as a team and I like that. It Is good to work with people, e.g. students.

Good
I was a Postgraduate student at Wits University for 5 years. I was a tutor for 5 years, my duties entailed tutoring first year students who were studying engineering physics and demonstrating for the students first year lab physics. Sometimes I assisted Lectures with the preparation for the tests and exams. The environment was fair.
