Working at Winder Controls (PTY) LTD -Challenges and opportunities

Working at Winder Controls (PTY) LTD for the past 10 years have been challenging. We have grown from what is known as a small entity, to now a medium sized entity. Together we have had a relationship of an odd sort, filled with laughter, tear, disappointment and excitement. Winder Controls culture is focused on FAMILY . Together as a unit we strive to empower each other, however like most there are downfalls.The one thing I would take on my journey ahead is the value of PATIENCE. Working in a fast pace environment I have learnt/learning the art of patience and people management. Due to the company growing at the rate it is, the challenges I face is only seen as a motivator to prove myself and to show that change and challenges are accepted. With the day and age we stand, change and challenges are inevitable, and I see my self adapting and moving with the times

I have worked as a wireman and later promoted to panel testing

I have learned that the company does not take time to upgrade employees who shows signs of willing and capabilities to learn more than what their are employed to do

Commitment and goals

I am a accredited Mersita mechanical assessor. Experience in job costing on fabrication, machining. Designing of conveyors and bucket elevators. I like Project costing, processing, installation, commissioning and handing over to customer.( complete project managing). Have done designing of conveyors, bucket elevators. Do all safety workshop and employer related aspect . I am the GMR2 of the company. I love caravaning, gardening , building specialized wood cabinets for jewelary etc. When managing any project, I love the finalization and customer satisfaction on the successful handing over of projects.
