Good Company to work for., learnt a lot about the oil production business. Good worker's and environment. High pressure at times but rewarding in the end.

GMP, solving problems, communication, microbilogy

Pros: I got trained for GMP and that is required in the working environment. No late coming is accepted and less communication is prohibited

The things that is heppening at work

There are many challenges at work people are not united they want to work together with their nationalities which makes other people not comfortable. Early in the morning I am counting stock then submiting time sheet at the office the when they need some order they call me to pick thats specific order and then when the truck is dealiving the rice to the company I check the date if it is ok, if it is not the truck will take it back to maritzburg where they doing it. I am also packing the rice so that I will know when they want order

Working there left me with nothing but pain you work long hours 12 hours a day for peanuts

I enjoyed working with my co-workers though they have long working hours I learned to work with people to work in groups to resolve conflicts the most difficult thing, I worked there for 2 long years no raise no permanent position

Really it's a good learning curve if at all you are a patient worker.

Working @ Willowton was a challenge @ first as I started from floor. But improved on my side by enrolling into a Varsity degree. Here I started applying my skills and promotions came my way. Of recent am used to working under pressure in dispatching loads of stock to customers, clerical work and stock taking not withstanding leading a group of 20 people at my department. Degree left wiz one year which also complies pressure to concentrate. Positives include my good relationship wiz co workers which I work on thru my better communication skills. I don't regret joining Willowton. I know it has shaped me in different fields I May land into .

Laboratory technician duties

I have earnt how to calibrate laboratory equipment, to release products and test samples, to perform microbiology testing, to write certificate of analysis, to test for urease

Pros: It's a good company am gaining lot of experience
Cons: Night shifts are tiring
