Excellent learning curve

I know much about multitasking and how to handle customer's /clients. I can think on my feet, taking orders it was a good learning curve for me because now i know what i can do what I'm capable of doing. I just feel like i need a big challenge now as i feel like I've outgrown the place now and also that there is no room for Growth. Most importantly i fee like i can do better.

Pros: no opportunity for promotion
Cons: long working hours

Excellent company

My typical day start to great everyone at the office. Then starts sorting out emails and meeting schedules. Type minutes. Do any travel arrangements (flight, accommodation, car). Make sure all invoice get paid from the suppliers. Order stationery and groceries. Do daily personal duties for the MD. Book Doctors appointments. Book cars for services. Sort out any IT queries. Log calls with Telkom if the lines aren't working. Sort out all licenses for the vehicles. Assist with any admin/filing/binding of documents. I've got a an excellent relationship with all my colleagues. What I enjoy the most is to help/assist others. The most challenging aspect of the job is not to take anybody to seriously everybody is fighting some or other battle and if they are angry and shout at you it's not necessary anything you did.

Pros: Great environment to work in
Cons: Salary not good

Excellent all-round experience

I love the atmosphere at Wiesenhof and the team work. The only thing negative is the working hours as I work 12 days on 2 days off. It is a very fast paced environment and I do not take lunch times at all. I also take leave once a year which makes my body extremely tired. But other than that I can't complain:) I also learnt that people differ and although there are differences that one should respect one another. I love the rush that it offers. The most challenging aspect of my job is that I am responsible for the smooth running of the shop and that I must make sure that all departments run smoothly and that complaints are restricted to the minimum as I want clients to receive the best service possible.

Pros: Learning to multi-task
Cons: Long working hours

Great for up and coming chef to learn running a kitchen

The day starts at 6:30 am prep for grab and go is started and for orders. A team of 3 has to complete work suited for a team of 5. We usually get breakfast orders by 8 am and the day continues till 5 pm. The relationship between co workers is ok, its a everyone for its a good all round working relationship. In my time here i have learnt how to effectively run a kitchen and how to deal with different characters in the workplace. I enjoy interacting with the fussy customers especially when i have met their expectations. The most challenging aspect is dealing with management that creates high expectations without thinking through how it will be achieved and how it will impact their employees. started

Pros: Great for building experience
Cons: Extra work without additional compensation

Learning curve

A coffee shop with retail, sit down and take away option. 2 shifts at the cashiers side with one starting at 7 till 4 and another shift starting at 12 till closing time at 9PM. Shop is open everyday and that includes weekends. All staff rotate shifts with alternating offs.

Pros: meeting interesting people
Cons: working weekends, or no off during the week

Doesn't quite amount to my full potential as per Barclaycard mentorship in Northampton England.

Work is about challenges and as of yet Wiesenhof hasn't thrown complex problem solving at the work place hence inadequate to upgrade experience both from England and South Africa.

Pros: Its not halfbad for a franchise
Cons: Complex problem solving lacks
