Wetback Contracts Reviews

Working at Wetback

On a typical business day working in this company is both a pleasure and a challenge. I would reset trackers for an update I do physically on site and follow it up with an update on the project schedule. I will then liaise with my client (General Electric) on the progress achieved and mitigate if necessary. My colleges are friendly and helpful so the overall experience is decent apart from one stubborn manager which takes time convincing of facts. During my time at Wetback I have gone from Project assistant to Junior Planner whilst working with many departments for periods of time. These are Project Management; Paintshop; Material Control & Planning. Most challenging aspect of my work is that of keeping the project on track whilst doing my best to keep it within budget and mainly time.

Pros: Month ends I get a friday off; 16 leave days; sick leave, 13th check & Great exposure to planning a project.
Cons: Working hours being 6am to 4pm; working every 2nd Saturday (not getting paid for the Saturday work).

It was a great learning curve for me as I was a newly qualified fitter.

It taught me time management skills and to be able to work independently and in a team. It was a great learning as experience for someone like myself who got in as a newly qualified fitter. I liked the fact that the company is production driven, thus allowing you to push yourself to do more.

Pros: Great opportunity to gain experience
Cons: The end date of your contract is undisclosed

They always want the best you

I'm a guy of many talents and can work with or without supervision .I work hard and give the best of what I'm capable of ,to meet deadlines and avoid doing a job over and again. Welding is a tricky job and requires a clear and committed mind, to avoid unexpected costs caused by repairs. I'm a non smoker and I do not take alchohol

Pros: None
Cons: Work overtime if there's a need ,but prefer doing the right thing first time

Excellent for senior employees

They offer a almost completely free workspace where you can take on almost any type of work depending of course what field you are. As a senior employee you can Excell in this company. The down side is, there are few to none guidelines to work with, for someone coming out of university this may be a problem. The structure is based on your different departments. My department personally lacked a management structure.

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion
Cons: Long working hours a
