Gained valuable experience

Working at WPS has been a learning curve. I now know how a school runs and it's not what the parents normally see. I used to deal from HOD from the GDE to grandparents, parents and children. Everyone has to be treated differently but with the same respect. A typical day would start off with ticking the late comers, making PA announcements, seeing to a child that got hurt (basic first aid), answering the telephone, sending emails, typing notices and letters to parents, managing the Principal's diary and all her appointments. Ordering of perishables to getting quotations for the upkeep of the school. No day is the same and you cannot plan your day ahead. The best way to get through the day is to prioritise.

Pros: Dealling with a diverse group of people
Cons: No room for promotion
