My chief function is the co-ordination and organization of diverse events, open days, launches, technical tours, seminars, workshops and conferences (of up to 400 people) in Pretoria and nationally. Another instance would be the co-ordination of information sessions with Parliamentary stakeholders I have manifold expertise in the co-ordination and facilitation of exhibitions i.e. the management and preparation of posters, banners customized brochures and product knowledge packs. I am a key role player in the successful management of logistical arrangements, venue bookings, seating plans, procurement of translators and administrative support, as well as sound engineers, décor experts, caterers, etc. Typically I take control of the reduction of costs and implement stringent financial controls and policies.

Excellent competative and learning environment

I was employed as an Project Co ordinator intern at Water Research Commission. The loving and supporting staff at the organisation made my days at the organisation very productive.working in a competative organisation as WRC , i learned good time managenent, working under pressure and working independently.The only minor challenge at the beginning was working in the open space office stucture but once i got used to it i enjoyed it.

Pros: Good place to work as an intern
Cons: cold temparature due to the open space structure.

An all rounder in SCM

It a nice company full of scientists who really like their careers and so much open to impart their knowledge to the upcoming scientists, the environment is so professional and health as people are able to work together for the same goals, my division also have lots of support by the executive management which make life easier to work for this lovely company.

Pros: Great place to learn about water and sanitation
Cons: No compensation for overtime

Excellent Career growth opportunities

I have excellent working relationships with my colleagues. The environment allows flexibility, opportunity for employees to be innovative and spread their wings, open door policy. I enjoy my working space because it allows one to grow personally and career wise. I am given that space to be innovative, to strech myself, you get out of your comfort zone. I am learning new things on a continuous basis. Working with lot of Academics humbled me. The most challenging things at the beginning was adjusting to public sector' s way of doing things, but once I adjusted, I am enjoying it .
