It was the best company I ever worked for. Good stuff members and treating of employees.

After my High School Graduate I started to work as a Translator, Proof-reader and Checker (English to Sepedi/Northern Sotho) as a volunteer. I was also a freelancer in this category for other companies. I attended a Translation Training Course provided by the Jehovah’s Witnesses Religion (Watchtower) in 2012 and worked for them full time. I was trained in 2015 and worked as a Secretary for their Translation Offices around South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana and Namibia. I then worked as their Digital Publisher (Designing PDF’s for their Publications) in 2017. The joy and pride I felt in Watchtower was unmatched for the last 10 years while working for them. My teacher in Digital Publishing taught me to be a hard worker and always strive for improvement at work. It was more of morals as well than just the MEPS programming. From that time on I have applied that teaching in my working environment and this has put me close to others at work and regarding co-operation as well.

Atention to detail is the only way to survive

I start my day with checking job cards and prioritizing what work needs to be done first. Next I check which emails are urgent and need response, the rest I respond to late in the day. Normally the workmates are pleasant to work with and are highly professional in caring out the duties. I also work with imports and exports so the demand to meet deadlines is relentless and self motivation is a must to survive, having said that I enjoy the challenge.

Diligent and dedicated

It was very encouraging and exciting to work at Watchtower. It helped me to be productive. Working hours was reasonable, from 8 to 5. And I had good relationship with other workers. I also learned to be organized and punctual.

Very good place to learn

I work with a team that handles plumbing jobs as well as basic systems like air gas and water systems. I mainly did irrigation with two other women and we would get jobs that would be assigned to us and then we would order parts and finish the job. we had a very friendly team that we all respected and we all learnt from each other like for instance I learned alot about plumbing and irrigation when I was at Watchtower through basic experience as well as with web tutoring I also enjoy working outside and being part of the action but sometimes it get very busy and you get allot of pressure but its always a good motivation for me to work harder and get the job done
