Thrown in the deep end and had to swim

A typical day is on the phone with my sites and or suppliers ensuring delivery takes place. By the time i get to work its a good morning to all and some office pranks on the odd day and a cup of coffee whilst my laptop is getting started. From there its emails, follow ups, calls and making time for those who need sourcing done or any other project tackled. We are quote diverse and we get along very well on the west wing of the building. I have learnt that people are scared to transfer their knowledge or to let go of “old” ways when new system are implemented. I have learnt that work becomes your family for 8 hours pf every day and once a person is off he or she is missed. I enjoy being able to go into any managers office and discuss ideas or ways forward. Most challenging would be explaining procedures and not just seeing it from my point of view but to understand anothers.

Middle to senior level

A hard worker and willing to learn and grow .My typical work is to lease with project mangers and Construction managers, check progress on site, do Overtime cost estimates and valuation

Pros: lots of diversity and challenges that help to grow and gain experience
Cons: Very far from home, power region
