Vwsa Reviews

A lot of exposure from VWSA

I enjoy working at VWSA having my own office and being treated the same as everyone else in the department is amazing daily I present to the logistics manager about how I handle all the challenges I face every day and come up with a solution, I also communicate will all VW's suppliers telephonically about the Advanced shipping notice they must create for VW if the supplier does not create the ASN I call them for a meeting to VWSA daily there are like 5 meetings a day with the suppliers and also getting involved and spending time at other department for 2 hours a day I really enjoy the meetings with the suppliers because there is a data base that I create for all the suppliers that are giving VWSA problems so to those meetings I present and I really enjoy presenting

Pros: being exposed to different departments
Cons: Not getting paid enough

EXCELLENT LEARNING CURVE

I am a qualified toolmaker with Electrical Engineering N5 and AutoCAD. I am a highly motivated person. I have acquired a lot of skills working for the company but there was a lot of discrimination which led to my resignation, but through them i was able to get the skills that i have now that i will be able to use in future. The working environment was fine because everyone got along but management was discriminating and made sure that we felt like we were not values as workers

Pros: Great team work
Cons: promotion opportunity not feasible

Resilient and creative thinker

This environment allows me to be in a dynamic position, meet abd deal with different personalities while putting myself in a position to build a mutually beneficial relationship with colleagues and suppliers. I've learned resilience and I continue to work with determination in everything I do.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth of knowledge
Cons: Depending on people to finish certain talks means I'm always negotiating and finding ways to get information.

Excellent Experience

A typical day started out on Monday morning doing the normal start up procedure with my mentors. I've learned the advantages as well as challenges working with a large group of people. Communication is the most important and useful tool when anything has to be attended to from co-ordination to co-operation, all individuals coming together as a team for a common goal of achieving a solution to a problem while maintaining the highest of quality and safety all at once. The adrenaline rush to a breakdown and the relief of a well co-ordinated and sometimes improvised plans to reach a successful solution. I enjoyed it all, everything alltogether allowed me to gain the complete experience of the Automated production line. In all, it's just a unique combined experience of various situations that made me learn something every single day. Learning and applying it was the satisfaction.

Pros: Learning and implementation
Cons: Long downtime at times
