Good learning experience within HR plant, Corporate and Group level

A typical work day is mostly busy with meeting clients in different faculties and department but due to frozen posts, the workload has declined as recruitment are minimised. I have a very good relationship with my co-workers including all my clients in four different faculties and departments. Due to the size of this institution with 2000 staff members, a lot of experience i gained was with my previous employer where i worked across different functions and in a matrix organisation within the steel manufacturing organisation. Right now the institution has a lot of challenges such as the implementation of performance management system, updating its policies and procedures and assisting executive deans to translate institution strategy into implementable yearly objectives etc, these keeps me busy. there are not much new things i've learned at the institution but more of applying the experience gained in my previous employer.

Pros: Good benefits in the form of leaves and job security
Cons: lots of politics, gate keeping and cliques which hinder progress.

Great opportunity

It is a great opportunity as I interact with the students and always update to help students solve their problems with the subject. As a tutor I find different ways to help students as they have different ways to understanding the work.

Learning experience everyday and unpredictable

Everyday is a learning experience -unpredictable Taking new challenges i enjoy My relationship with other students is very healthy always a good environment to be around We help each other if one needs it The most challenging aspect is running out of research material This has taught me patience

Excellent learning curve

am just a research student and am sometimes help in the laborotary or the workshop. am also a maths and mechanical drawing tutor. i dont get bonuses and they pay me less money
