selling of cars reaching monthly target financing liasing with the banks daily liasing with insurance company f I enjoy the financing part due to the experience with the bank I use to for as a financing consultant the most challenging is when you have to deliver the car and the client changes his mind

My name is Bongani Trevor Shihundla; I am a twenty-four (25) year old male. I hold a National Diploma and Btech in Industrial Engineering obtained from the Tshwane University of Technology, which I have completed in record time. I currently work as an Operations Engineer at Volkswagen South Africa My Key responsibilities are as follows: Planning, organising and controlling a group of vehicles on Endurance Accurate identification, analysis and reporting on problems encountered during testing Preparing and analysing measured test data Compiling detailed reports and results Ensuring special test requirements are met Liaising with local and overseas engineers Transport ( import and export) Inspection Purchasing parts, tyres and merchandise Supplier management Insurance arrangement Workshop management Service and wear parts purchases and tracking

Good learning environment

I worked for different companies. Such as Otiise graphix for over 2 years as a sales consultant. Metropolitan as financial advisor for over a year as well as Volkswagen as sales executive for almost 2years and I am currently a sales a executive at BMW. Regards...

Learning alot developing new skills

Start of my day bby sending clients their accounts updates, After that I deal; with the cash accounts, I also assist on account queries. Accasionally I assist salesman in typing quotes. Learning etka day by day. I order accesories for gifting new car sales clients. I order car pets as stock depletes. I occasionally type the stock orders. I started of on cash accounts and receiving stock. I have grown everyday. I have now been granted privilages to make credits. Calling for outstanding monies building relationships with customers

Pros: Learning to be a sales lady
Cons: Salary low for me and my family

I went to workshops where I eould learn more about the work I was doing

VW was a very positive work environment with very supportive colleagues. I have learned to deal with pressure, to work in a team as well as working independently without any supervision, reliability. What I have enjoyed the most is that every month the offer incentives to motivate you. There was an incentive that if you worked for 3 months without no absent, you will be in a draw for the new polo vivo car. Sometimes they gave out money and many more other incentives The challenges was where the suppliers will not provide the correct invoice with the correct details on it and where the invoice must have been paid already.

Pros: Planning your own calender with 8 hours a day, 2 hours lunch time, idle managent, Gym
Cons: Too much traveling, 7 hours work time, work during shutdown

I have leaned a lot in this industry. From Sales Executive to Assistant Sales Maanger to Maanger in no time. Hard works pay off. I have believe that if you work hard and achieve what you aim for you will always succeed no matter what people say. You are the only one that can make that choices in life. Either you go for it or you decide to leave it.

Challenging yet great Opportunity for gaining skills

I start my day booking in my customers. I proceed to inspect the vehicle and to get a quotation ready for the customer. As soon as the customer gives me authorization I will order all the parts and start the repair or service. after The service I Invoice the job card and do a quality inspection in the form of a test drive. As soon as the vehicle is done I do a last visual inspection to ensure that the vehicle is clean and that there are no further problems. last I contact the customer to inform the customer on when the vehicle will be done and do the handover as soon as the customer comes to collect.

Pros: Complete freedom when it comes to quotations and working with the customers. we are our own service advisers and are able to learn more skills eg. Costing, booking in customers, warranty work and skills required for a service advisor.
Cons: There is no opportunity for moving up in the company, not currently or in the future
