Good Working ethics foundation

It is a relationship orientated company whereby employees get to better each other and have a strong bond within the team. A typical is when you have to grind for everything and work hard but not an obstacle in any manner its how the industry is and the enjoyable part is the urgency you create in your own business to achieve the strategic goals that you have individually put in place. I have learnt a lot about the corporate world starting from how to handle work stress right up to working under serious pressure with a team full of different personalities and emotions. What I enjoy the most is working with people who give motivation when needed and having achieved what's planned according to goal settings. Obviously growth is important as an individual even though I work with an amazing team. The most challenging aspect of the job is probably relying on people because the business is about people and without the people there is definitely no business.

Pros: Eye opening opportunities and situation changing solutions.
Cons: Long working hours

Contractor management to a specific standard of delivery Management of health and safety policies Ongoing hazard and risk assessments Conduct regular safety drills Constant training and development of staff Implementing of effective preventative maintenance schedules Creating a remedial action plan based of a standards audit or . Prioritising timeline Creating effective shift rosters Basic HR- management of the code of conduct Enjoy training staff to develop themselves to grow within the business Most challenging aspects of current job is that it is a face to face job and I cannot afford to have my day to day stresses interfere with the customer satisfaction. This poses some difficulties at times due the fact that we do not offer a tangible product, but rather a service. Task prioritising depends on safety, staff, customer, service

Individual and Proffessional growth

I must say Virgin Active is a great company to work for perks wise but with regard to salary, i do not think they pay what they should considering the size of the company. The hours are hectic especially opening at 4:30 am with no transport. It gets very expensive and unsafe for staff during that shift and the closing shift at 21:30 when all taxis are finished, staff have to use alternative means of transport(hiking) which is not safe. I have great relationships with my colleagues. We may not all be friends but we are proffessionals. Dealing with diverse cultures tends to be a bit of a challenge as we know different people have different beliefs and there are those who look down on us ant see us as mere receptionists who are illiterate and have no schooling. I enjoy working in Admin mostly as i do not deal with members directly. I have learnt a lot in Virgin Active, proffessionally and individually.

Cons: Little salary and Awkward working hours

Strive on service delivery, friendly, helpful and provide training

Everyday something different happen. I love helping my clients and assist my co-workers with their clients too. This challenge is , spending my time on things that does not help me complete my own work and I have to catch up. I feel that the amount of admin work , takes up to much time and some of it is unnecessary as their is ways to capture data and follow up on your clients without doing it manually three times a day.

Pros: The oppotunity to crow in the company seems very unlikely to me.
Cons: hours are very long . 4 days off in a month

I am William Mlambo currently working for Virgin Active SA as sales consultant, I am a high volume consultant and I am very interested in the position,

Pros: I am go gether, always positive, always willing to learn, I love money, I am too disciplineed, always think about commission
Cons: I don't mind to work long hours, as long I am making lot of money.

Great place to work. Good vibe and good people Virgin Active has taught me everything about business and working with people. I've most importantly learnt how to be a great leader and a good manager The best part of my job and most challenging part is working with people

I am currently working as a maintenance technician. * I service HVAC systems *training equipment's *conducting Report and present it to senior manager * I manage my operator *I compile the task for the day * I do company orders * work with different contractors

Pros: I join the company because of doing inservice training in maintenance side and i started as an operator i got promoted as a technician.
Cons: it not related to what i want to do e.g motor mechanics.

Virgin Active is a very nice company to work for

Virgin Active is an amazing environment to work in, the superiors always gives you the opportunity to learn and make mistakes. My co-workers are friendly and always shows that they support you and always there to assist. I have learnt everything I know about my role and have the confidence to apply for higher positions now.

Pros: The opportunity to learn is great.
Cons: Difficult to grow without a qaulification.

A great company to work for

Its a good company, they provide training for their employee. The staff is great we had a good relationship. I learned how to manage other employees and be your own motivator. I enjoued the reception manager role more than i enjoyed being the Operations manager. As a operations manager if there is any breakdown being equipment or anything you have to make sure its fixed within 24hours,the challange is when the supply tales long to come on side.

Pros: Growth is there
Cons: Long hours
