Working at Unitrans has been one of the greatest experience working for a well renowned , reputable and respected company in South Africa and beyond. I was lucky enough to be working at the office where I interact with executive management, big clients,suppliers and all the staff members. The whole environment and the people are friendly, which keeps you motivated and looking forward to each day at the office. What I have learnt is to distinguish level of clients according to their importance, how to handle sensitive executive matters. What I enjoyed the most is being a part that connects this big well oiled engine of a company and the gratitude I get from having handled crisis situations with care and professionalism. The most challenging part is having to hold a big client wanting to speak to one of the executive members when they are still busy in a meeting.

I am a BVO TRUCK DRIVER with 32 years of experience
BVO TRUCK DRIVER I have a code 14, PDP & EC licence I have recently worked as a BVO truck driver at Unitrans. My daily duties is to load the truck's tank with jet fuel and transport the jet fuel to the airport. I do inspection on the truck (fuel testing) every time before loading the truck with jet fuel. I work under a lot of pressure as I need to manage my time as I need to do a certain amount of trips on one shift. Me and my co-workers on the same shift worked good together as a team. I have learned to be patient and to rather to the inspection more than once when not sure. Ask questions when uncertain what is expected from you. To manage my work logically within timeframes. I enjoy being a truck driver as this Is my passion and learning new things to improve my skills.

Ability to learn quickly
Plan the delivery and collection of product by determining the availability of fleet and drivers to meet the customer demand. Track and monitor route of vehicle to make sure that they are using the accurate jmp. Issue loading instruction to the driver and monitor loading and offloading times. Proactively monitor driving hours of the drivers to prevent violation. Manage day to day performance of the drivers to prevent delay when delivery in delivery customer product. Ensure that delays are escalated to the line manager and liaise with the customer. Ensure effective and effient communication to the drivers by coaching, monitoring and controlling drivers to create good work environment and to ensure drivers perform to the optimal level.

Opportunity for growth
I am very reliable, always punctual and honest. I obtain a professional attitude and very pleasant personality. I am highly motivated, well organised and a hard worker. I work well under pressure and accept responsibilities and challenges. I have excellent working relationship with staff members and management. I am always enthusiastic and a very dedicated worker. Although able to function successfully and independent, I enjoy the stimulation and sense of achievement of being part of a team.

Challenging
typical work day involves taking calls form struggling users across the country, and closing off support logs. Friendly staff some judgmental and breakdown characters.

Company great just management hide stuff . Not helpful and think they are doctor's.
No room for grow..gossip allot behind your back...have the favourites. If they don't like you..you will stay a driver and nail you on small stuff..................

Excellent learning curve
I am a fast learner and a team player. Work well with other people. I like to be bussy and help out other people at work where I can if possible. I perform well under presure and cope with hard working curcumstances.

Good learning experience
I have good communication, telephonic and administration skills. Furthermore, I am generally exuberant about learning and making the most out of every opportunity that avails itself to me. I am a hardworking, self-motivated and ambitious introvert with excellent time management skills. I’m an independent and attentive fast-learner that is goal driven; I aim to deliver outstanding results timorously and am a team player that takes ownership and pride in work delivered.

Opportunity to grow
Since I joined the company no have managed to bring a sence of belonging and team work. I have also started a soccer squad that brings management and staff to a diferent level of understanding amongstveach other.
