Excellent customer service

A typical work day at the office for me would start by a cup of coffee and go through my emails for urgent orders from customers. Processing urgent orders that needs to be sent out for delivery. I love people and can be a very soft hearted person at times I went back to my previous company and they all love and miss me. One lady said that she misses me and no one else helps her the way I use to help her. I am a very open and friendly person. I have learnt hoe to love and appreciate the next person. We developed a bond even with my customers an today I still friends. I love the thrill running up and down, processing my orders, invoicing and keeping my customers happy. The most challenging aspect of my job would be excellent customer service. It gives me great pleasure to leave work in the afternoon knowing all my clients are happy. Today I call them my friends.

Pros: There was great opportunities to grow and learn in the company. I started as an Internal sales administrator and stepped two ladders up as office administrator and Senior internal sales
Cons: I honestly did not mind working overtime in order to do the best service delivery

No place for growth

We give it our best but it's never enough. They expect to much from the staff and we are paid less personally. Treated with no respect. We are undermined. No appreciation, they feel they pay us a salary and we can be taken advantage off.

Good experience obtained

I have obtained a lot of working experience at my current company. The people are all friendly and welcoming. Willing to help where they can. I have learned to working with all types of people. To work under pressure when it's month and when we short stuff, it get busy and hectic. Working with different clients looks hard but it's all nice because you meet different characters of people and you need to learn how to deal and handle them. When working with client you need to be calm, patient and understanding person

Enough to gather experience

The place has a great potential to do much better if only the directors would invest their money more in their staff and equipment. I have learned so much in a short period but feel that I am not being properly compensated. I basically do everything at Ubunye because I load an order,pack it myself, invoice it, check it myself then deliver it....which I do enjoy because I know it was done by me for my client which I'm regularly in contact with.

Pros: Great opportunity with potential for growth, especially if you love what you do
Cons: Lots of work with no compensation, company needs to stand up for employees against rude clients

Excellent learning curve

- on a daily basis i capture orders, request stock, liaise with cmt's. issue out stock for emboidery and capture grn on return. we have a close relationship with my co-workers as our work needs a lot of interaction. i have learnt to work in a team, to be able to stand up and speak for yourself, a character has been built by this industry were there a lot of pressure. i enjoy being on my feet and it keeps me challenged.

Learning different aspects at work

I learnt how to be resilience, proactive, impulsive and very understanding. I learnt how to understand different people from different religions and cultures. I enjoyed sharing ideas with my colleagues and working towards one goal and meeting the needs of the company. I learnt the importance of time management and all the work ethics. Cleaning your work environment before or after working is very important and harmless to another individual

Life has been hard working at Ubunye

Working at Ubunye hustling to put bread in the table Started working at Ubunye as the picker packer and it was a great start to learn what the company is all about and understand it from the grass root level. Then I was moved to the role of being a Distribution Clerk which was more of a better position, working in the office and being in contact with other branches of the company. In this journey it been very nice working with my colleages, there is fun and I learn more about life. Currently I am in the roll where I receive and focusing more on what is going out (dispatch).
