Excellent learning curve

This field of work has been a totally new challenge. I have never taught language before. Also, this work was working in an online environment from the comfort of my home, so I had to learn to be disciplined and dedicated, as my salary was determined by the amount of hours I had to put in. I taught people living in Asia, so because of the time difference I had to adjust my timetable to suit the client. There were also huge cultural divides, so I had to learn to manage it so that I would not insult the client or their culture. I dealt with many different characters and had to be professional in all circumstances. I learned that there is a really big online world that I would have never known about was it not for this new venture. It was rewarding and challenging at the same time.

Pros: Working at the leisure of your schedule and in the comfort of your home.
Cons: Long hours, very little assistance from staff in Asia, if I don't work or get any sessions, I do not get paid.

Excellent opportunity for development of work skills

My current job provides me with an opportunity to work with people from different countries, it also further develops my communication skills, ability to work under pressure, time management as well as ability to work efficiently without supervision.

Pros: Great opportunity for self development

Excellent Leader

I am an Online English Teacher and I enjoy every moment of teaching. I normally start work at 9 am and end my day at 4 pm. I enjoy having company around me it makes the day go by quicker. I have learnt to become more patient and understanding because everyone is not on the same level.

Pros: Great Opportunities , Friendly enviroment
Cons: Some students don't attend class

Great way to teach the yiuth

Hard work, long hours, but the reward from changing someone's life is amazing and when they take their own initiative is amazing and makes a tutor feel great.

Very Good Opportunity

It is very interesting that i get to meet with new students everyday but i would prefer to work in an office environment because been at home can make you feel lazy.. I have learnt a lot at this company and gained a lot of knowledge teaching English over the months. I enjoy helping students with grammar and comphrehension...

Cons: Class is too long

If only they did not have to close

I completely love my current job but unfortunately the company is retrenching and possibly closing site, therefore I have to find alternative employment but It is a great company to work for and I loved working with different people on a daily bases.

Pros: It was a great job which allowed growth depending on how you push yourself as a person
Cons: Tehe site is closing

Excellent learning curve

It was quite enjoyable, since I love teaching and helping others. My experience allowed me to expand my knowledge and become greater in terms of interacting with people. My English has also improved as I learned.

Pros: Able to train and obtain a certificate
Cons: Working weekends
