Review

A typical day in my shoes include nut are not limited to ensuring clients receive the correct order timeously. In order to do that it I need to ensure that I have a motivated team I can rely on.Motivating people comes naturally to me and I am able to forge strong relationships throughout the organisation but building trust with those around me.I have learnt that no man is an island and thus I am able to work well in term team. To supply a simple order you require a sales force, a picker, and invoice clerk, a checker, a packed and then a driver to deliver. All these functions require people and if you develop strong relationships with those whom you work with it allows you to get the job done. I enjoy challenges in the form of deadlines and tasks being open to learning every day. The most challenging aspect of my job is stock coming in at the eleventh hour which needs to go out immediately. The ability and willingness to work overtime helps resolve this challenge.

Call Centre is the only department that gets paid little yet the only department that works 24/7.

We work long hours no over time we get normal rates for covering shifts, They do not follow labor laws and under payed work on weekends no transport allowance. R100+ Night shift allowance.

No growth.

No growth for promotion. No commission paid for new deals. Decisions take long from management. Male dominant company. Company allows you to study. Company has excellent software and has taught me a lot. Imporoves my computer skills considerably . A typical work day would include reviewing reports and submitting to clients. Visiting clients and resolving open issues to ensure it does not become a debtors query.

Good learningcurving

As a forklift driver I enjoy being at my work place because we treat each other with respect. Indeed it's a good place to start with and gain experience. The management is OK they listen to your problems and ideas. The co-workers are great and willing to help anyone whose in need. The hardest part is being in the forklift that's over heated otherwise I enjoy being at work all the time it feels like my other home.

Learning new things

I begin my day at 6 am in the morning or at 6pm in the evening working shifts. I wll take my place at my stition awaiting incoming calls or email for bins required . At times I do go the extra by doing workthat is not in my job description because I am open to larning new things .My telephone manners are excellent and I remain proffessional at all times .My love to assist the customer on the other side of the line allows me to enjoy my job. It can be very changing at times but I dont alloow the pressure to get to me often. My co workers are supportive and wiling to assist whenever I need help.

Pros: Bonus at the end of the year
Cons: Far from home and little salary
