Meetings attended once monthly, to provide overall performance of Network performance, Quality and Availability. New projects discussed, ongoing communication facilitated, Engineering tests, Product development and upgrades, department budgets and financial reviews. Office is attended only Mondays and the rest of the weeks is spent in regions, Gauteng, Polokwane, Freestate, Nothern Cape and Mpumalanga, doing network maintenance. We have ongoing network projects or deployments, and I manage such projects. These are initiated during monthly meetings and a selected project team attends. This where I strong relationships are built with a team out on their own. This is also the exciting part of my work; projects. I have learnt managing projects while in this field and this what really interests me in this filed. I find office and admin work challenging due to the chain of events and processes involved in getting critical functions of my work done.

Challeging

Highly pressurized environment, where service levels have to be met. Challenging as well because of different systems. Different departments to work with, very friendly colleagues. I enjoy interacting with clients and providing best customer service

Great earning opportunity

The year I started at Tracker, they took away the annual bonuses from the sales consultants saying that our commission is our bonus. Now we work very hard for that commission and every other staff member in the company gets one. Otherwise the company has a wonderful work ethic, our Durban branch have fantastic people and my office is a home away from home. My boss is very lenient and allows us to work from home should our kids be I'll or should we not felt well. You cleave the opportunity to earn good money if you bring in enough new business instead of concentrating on existing business. I have grown alot in the time I have been here, my clients value me as their business consultant and i have also learnt to be more patient. We have too much admin work to do though and bearing in mind we are supposed to be out looking for new business so it's a bit of a struggle here and there.

Pros: Flexible working times, good earning potential, wonderful working culture
Cons: Too much admin, not a lot of growth potential in terms of promotions

Tremendous Growth in a space of 2 years in regards to business

Working for Tracker has been an experience that has helped me grow,it does become stressful sometimes when we are nowhere near our target.I have quite a good relationship ,we know the meaning of being a team means. What I have learnt is to absorb all that you can around in order to become a better version of yourself ,help others if you need to just so you can continue learning and most importantly dedicate yourself to the Job no matter how small the position.

Gained skills and knowledge of the telecommunications industry

Excellent Learning curve

I have learned a lot , i have always been in insurance industry , it is in deed a learning curve, tracking is exciting , that when i realized its not only about tracking , it is also about managing the driving , saving petrol its a whole lot. Managing 14 consultants Coaching Doing performance reviews Allocating Leads - providing tools Huddling every morning I love the fact that we put people's minds at ease. Dealing with people have been easy , but once you master that , i love working with people and my team is the most vibrant.

I started a project called Smartbucks Mind Your Moolah & I was invited to the United Nations for it.

Contact our bursary students, to see how they are holding up and assist wherever necessary. Always keep abreast of the ever changing BBBEE requirements and formulate a strategy to comply. I also worked on Enterprise Development. I look for potential Black owned companies to be empowered. I take them through the entire process of what is required from them to be assisted. Plan a volunteer event for staff members, well in advance. My relationship with staff has always been magnificent. I have learned to appreciated every human being. I enjoy the most when you have been through the worst for someone, and see them succeed. The challenging aspect of my job is to tell someone who has been our bursary student that we can't continue funding them as they have failed.

Pros: Great opportunity to be part of the solution for our country.
Cons: There's a greater need howver there is never enough money.

Learning

- Hard, having to deal with clients who just lost their cars - My relationship with my team is great, we all understand each other both work wise and general life - The spirit of ubunto - Helping people to get their cars back - Activating a vehicle knowing that there is a person who has been taken hostage in the vehicle

Pros: Great opportunity for a person of my caliber to grow
Cons: Working 12 hour shift, four days in a raw including two night shifts

Opportunity for growth and skills improvement

Responsible to Manage the following teams - Service Desk team -Telephony team -IT Procurement team -Network Monitoring team Responsibilities -Manage Service Level Agreement (SLA) within the business and with the Service Providers -Coordinate changes and Chair the Change Advisory Board ( Minimize service impact to the business) -Manage major incident through the incident management process, when receiving alerts on the monitoring tool. -Develop and Maintain Control Systems by enforcing standard operating procedures. -Responsible for the human resources management of the team. -Responsible for drafting of policies within the IT environment and enforce adherence. -Monthly reporting on systems Availability and of SLA targets -Facilitate monthly SLA meeting with Service providers and the business.

Always pushing my self

A Typical day in Trackers logistic department is very fast past because of AB and SL rates that need to be maintain, So accuracy as well as speed are key in our positions not only for the rates that need to be maintained but also to get our customers services and installed before our competitors do, this does not happen on our own we need to have contacts with our branches and fitment centers and technicians in order to see who can assist. what I enjoy most is when the request from clients are not standard and they in remote arrears. I can pus myself
