Great culture and diversity being embraced

Daily tasks involve developing and maintaining the company internal and external applications. B2B sites and self learning newer technologies. Workers relationship is very nice together with the environment, most challenging is having to meet the deadline. Every Friday there's an hour of a mini activity called knowledge friday where a selected employee based on the list presents something new that could educate other staff about things out there in the world

Excellent experiential opportunity

Working at Tourvest has been a great, it is a medium sized company where everyone is close to each other and treated like family. It is a laid back environment where individuals are allowed to be themselves and fit in. The was opportunity for growth and self improvement as training sessions were made available to all employees. I enjoyed the social activities that took place to ensure team building and a spirit of togetherness. A Typical work day will include 8 and half hours with training sessions in between. What I've learned from Tourvest is that it is very important to empower yourself as an individual irrespective of the amount knowledge it can be. The most challenging aspect of the job was that the system we worked on was an international system which requires experts however we were trained to master the skills of working on the system.

Excellent Knowledge Gained

Working at Tourvest has been an amazing journey however due to the travel industry being hit so hard, I am forced to look outside of this industry for the betterment of my career and finances. Tourvest has a very positive upbeat and casual environment and my colleagues are all team players.

Great opportunity to learn

I have gained lot of skills that I have acquired among others working in an orderly manner, day to day elaborating and explanations to clients, working under pressure, good interpersonal skills, analytic skills as to verify all my day to day activities, effective communication as to promote the image of my company, being up to date with company information, so that I may give my clients accurate feedback at all times. The exposure I got from my previous and current positions has helped me to gain confidence and passion for rendering services; hence I have some certificates pertaining that field. As for me, I am confidence with the ability to learn and as well as enquiring mind I can be the best candidate for any position.

Excellent learning curve

Excellent learning curve, found my career niche, professional and friendly service, learned to be more assertive, fun to get to know more people. Work hard and play hard mentality. Worked with some of the biggest german agents in the tourism industry which was challenging as well as a big experiential curve.

Pros: International exposure with agents, teamwork, learning national and international market trends,
Cons: long working hours, staff does not get treated well, favoritism, no respect, arrogant

Great for growth

Long hours of dealing with demanding client and suppliers Need to make sure margins are met at all times and there's no room for mistakes as those are costly and you have to pay from your salary should you make a mistake
