With an interest in marketing it came to my best as opportunity to gain experience.

The company have 5 working days and it comes with 8 working hours plus 30 minutes lunch. There is no working over time unless been requested to work on a Saturday for only 4 hours, and only if the target is not reached. When it comes to their salary the basic is R3000 plus commission(number of ups), If the target is not reached you only get paid by your number of ups Excluding basic salary. It is a multi-racial company and the relation between co-workers is at most good though there is less much of communication(due to politics). To me it came as a lesson that for co-worker to deliver the best it's only when their satisfied and happy with their executives. From my side the company is not at it's best when it comes to management and worker's rights. After all I enjoy my duties for it includes talking to clients and pitching to them.

Working for the Touch Down Group it has been an epic experience, the staff members are friendly but not my current senior. We work crazy hours and overtime but do not get paid for it. the salary structure is not fair from my side of view, though I enjoy doing my job but I find it pointless to put so much effort but never get credit for it. One of the challenges i came about was that the company only pays in commission and there is no basic salary. I have learned a lot from this experience, more especially in marketing. I believe I can do better in a more open platform if I were to be given an opportunity.

Like to learn new things, to help people where I can and to make a difference.

My work day consists of following: - Answering queries - Assisting clients with general queries - Checking agreements - Assisting sales agents with administration - Filing - Helping colleagues with printing and assisting them in daily tasks - Banking - Balancing of figures My company has showed me how to stand up for myself and to be myself and how I can be a difference to them. I enjoy assisting and helping other and to make them smile. Every company have daily challenges and I've learnt to accept any challenge and to go with the flow. If I know I can make a difference to the situation I will do just that.

Pros: I'm a fast learner and like new challenges
Cons: Working after hours or over weekends as I consider that my family time.

Perfect platform to weigh my experience in marketing.

Touch Down it's a good company with multi-racial employees, this allowed me to come about different people speaking different languages. Lucky enough I am also social so it is for me to get along with all of them. Working days are fair even hours in a day, but when it comes to working on holidays I don't really get along with it. But after all I can't complain much, I look forward to live the company for a better opportunity.

Great learning opportunity

Learnt a lot under specific manager. Able to increase my knowledge and was placed as team leader while other teamleader was on maternity. Can feel as if you are still in school. And initiative is unwelcome. But through that a lot was learned on successfully making the company successful.
