Lessons learned

Its been a learning curve to be part and parcel of the construction of Medupi Power Station with TopFix. The station is almost complete and so much valuable information has been gathered, so many lessons learned. Many came from far and it has been a privilage to engage with different men and women from various background. I particularly enjoyed being part of the progress of the station, pushing the guys to adhere and respect and observe all safety regulations by living and working according to Eskom SHE Policy. I had no injuries recorded in the time ive been with TopFix, that gives me great joy, knowing that every men and every women under my care return to their loved ones unharm from work related incidents. I would like to still expose myself to other challengers and push myself to learn more and also pass on my knowledge to others.

I am a quick learner

I have learnt to work very well in teams I have learnt to give my job my level best even when im under pressure I have learnt to protect my company & my employer as best as i can when it comes to the client Im a go getter I am very punctual I take pride & ownership in all my roles & responsibilities .

Gaining more knowledge in the field.

I want to grow my career in Administrative work and gain more knowledge, implementing my own work skills to my move a company forward. Working as a team I love it most because I'm a team player.

Planning skills

capturing requests, assign teams to do the job, print job cards plan hours for the job, follow ups on jobs given and keep tracking outstanding jobs on system, closing of job cards and get feedbacks from the clients and to make sure that all the department (logistics and production) are co-operating to produce the good and quality service to the clients, monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time, notify boiler managers with issues when arise, filling and organizing of documentation, maintain and distribute existing reports, resolve internal, distribute existing reports to end users for variances verification , analyse reports and investigate variances managing databases on ISCAF and filling system

Excellent hard working SHE Rep

Good team leader Good supervisor. HIRA Controller i was ensuring that all employees have sign DSTI before commencing work and making sure that all hazards on the working area are identified and controlled. so that no incident should occur. i was making sure that all employees follow safety rules and regulations.

Working hard to gain experience

-Good time management -working together as one team -Good communication skills and excellent job management -finish every task in time together as one team -when more client need to be assisted in job request priorities at the same time and job to be done before the end of the shift

Excellent learning platform

I am currently working in Sasol Synfuels. As you can imagine the safety is of a high standard and done accordingly. Check and inspection done daily on all things on site. There are numerous meetings and feedback on all activities on a daily basis. Proper hand overs to be done to different shifts. Audits done in a weekly basis by the company safety manager and monthly by the client which is sasol safety.

Cons: Night shift long hours
