Work Experience

My experience at Thrifty has been a great learning curve in my career. Being able to deal different peoples personality, with staff, customers and fellow collegues .has widened my understanding about customer service. My typical work day can never be 2 of the same. Having to deal with clashing personalities within staff members and resolving issues amicably has been a rewarding experience. Knowing that dealing with clients and staff has the same bottom line, that we are dealing with human beigns with the same needs and desires. The most enjoyable part of my job is achieving customer satisfaction and offering staff motivation to obtain the end result of a win win outcome. The most challenging aspect of my job has been the need to advise clients that the charge for damages would still stand and being subtle about it, not aggravating them, bringing them to a point of understanding, for return business.

Pros: an oppotunity to grow customer base to obtain great rewards
Cons: long hours, stress, frustration, no management support

We have the opportunity of learning new things as the days proceed.

Most challenging aspect would be poor planning on the company's behalf which lead to alot of difficult customers. Unfortunately as front facing staff, we have to face the music for whatever the situation may be. Shortage of staff which makes it impossible to take a lunch break due to increased work load.

Pros: Company does allow growth
Cons: No overtime, bonus or benefits such as pension and provident

Not the best exoeriwnce working at a rental company,coming from a huge insurance company

Please see above. Im curewntly unempkoyed and working at this company is the reason for it. Alot of discriminnation. Unethical behabiour as well as fraudulant activoties took place there. No integrity at all. This has been the worst experience of my life. You have to bring your own toilet paper to work. You need to use a wet towel to dry your hands in the ladies. They changed my contract after I left my previous company. Managers and employees commit a lot of fraud. People are not being treated fairly.

Always looking to move up

I currently work in a call center as a digital agent dealing with clients. I work well with others as well as alone. I like working my way up in a company

Moving to different tasks everyday and advancing in experience.

Due to covid , we have decreased in size of employees thus creating 1 person with more tasks and taking on other peoples job.this is giving us the opportunity to learn and advance but also it becomes straining.

Pros: Great opportunity for experience
Cons: Due to covid everything has back tracked including staff as well as salaries

Fleet management.

Manage Fleet based on the number of confirmed and estimated bookings. Allocate cars to their booking . Allocate driver to their daily trips.eg Delivery and collections. Do weekly fuel recon report. Do daily reports. Action monthly FMR (Fleet Management Report) which consists of service due, service over due, off fleet cars and minor damaged cars that need to go for repairs.

Pros: Exposed to more aspects of the business that allowed me to think outside the box.
Cons: Long hours and working weekends.

Its a great learning curve and alot more in company to learn

doing stock count and handeling priority of vehicles in workshop. always trying to learn more in company not any possiblty to move any where els in company
