Growth with more challenging responsibilities

We interact with various teams internally and externally supporting various regions and all the retailers nationally and outside South Africa. My team handles both the technical and functional areas for both store back office and front office systems including midware systems. Our relationship is very good but occasionally we do have run ins where we disagree on certain aspect but what I like most about my work is the comraderie, the family culture adopted by the business to unify and motivate us in understanding that we are here for a common goal. The most challenging aspect of the job is when we have to introduce changes in the form of new systems or software releases in the business and we encounter resistance but we have learnt a lot and we somehow find ourselves succeeding most of the time.

Pros: Great flexible company to work for with a strong empasisi on family values
Cons: Growth prospects and mentoring is very limited.

Good learning opportunioty

This is a good, well connected company that offers many cross-learning opportunities. They have a good culture about the company and learning and growth is always encouraged. The company works also on a good calendar when it comes to things like bonuses and increases. There is also a fair process in determining your worth to the company.

Cons: Can be different shifts
