Excellent learning curve

My day always starts off in a pleasant way. Walk in and I am greeted by smiles all around. Never a dull moment. I work with a group of ALWAYS HAPPY PEOPLE. No one brings their home problems to work. We work as a team even though each one has a different job function. When we are at work we are a family. Coming from a mining background where I worked as a senior bookkeeper for 23 years, the insurance industry was completely different. I struggled a bit at first but with the help and assistance of my SUPER BOSS i have conquered all odds and have now excelled at my job. My BOSS is the most amazing guy I have ever met. I love my job but then I always love my job wherever I work as long as soon as I understand what I am doing and why I am doing it. Sadly my contract ends soon and that is the reason why I am seeking alternate employment. The company has been bought by someone else and they have their own staff.

Cons: Being a contract worker I do not qualify for increases

Able to bring a little to put on the table

A typical work day at my company involves interacting with clients by taking their orders, recording any damages or shortage. Once orders have been taken then I would deliver stock in a day or two

Pros: Managable working hours
Cons: No stability and benefits as it is a temp position

Learnt a lot in HR

Enjoyed learning new things and methods of working. Learnt new computer program and also learnt and began to understand human resources and labour law. Knowledge is power. The more you learn the better it is for you as a person.

Very family oriented company

My working experience at TATE NOLAN & KNIGHT was good as I felt I was part a family. It was a great in that everyone worked well as a team. Just like all families some work a lot harder, others smarter and others delegators. I am driven by working smarter and not necessarily harder but more productive, efficient and its very important for me to feel confident about my task. This way I find that I enjoy my job a lot better even in stressful times. We had a department weekly meeting to discuss our budgets and we also discussed how we could learn from our mistakes or celebrate our achievements. We also had weekly staff meetings to advise us of the high/low of the company. New employees joining the company and others leaving.

Cons: Not having back-up and support

PROFFESIONALISM

Im a hard worker. Skilled and a peoples person. You must make your work.place comfortable for you and work You spending 10hrs max there. I believe any work you work. No friend but colleges. After work you can play. Believe in rules and disipline. Im ease going. Very proffessional.

Great opportunity

Great relationships built with excellent customer service portrayed. Large clientele database. Learnt to work in a fast paced environment independently. Most challenging was learning to juggle between the various clients.
