Gaining experience in this field

Learnt how to capture on Pastel. Creating spreadsheets of expenses from Clients Collecting information as and when Tax Engineer requires. Challenging due to work not been done for 2 years and only worked half day for 6 months and got retrenched.

Pros: Good learning curve
Cons: Too pressurised for half day

Experience

A typical day would involve answering calls helping with queries, capturing data on pastel, reconciling of bank statements ,scanning filing. answering emails. following up on payments. Other responsibilities ordering of stationery, follow up with SARS, collect documentation from clients for Vat registration and monthly paper work and did clients log books in acceptable format for SARS Helped staff members with understanding of excel Learnt about taxation and the sage pastel program The part of the position I enjoyed most was assisting clients and visiting them to help with queries The most challenging aspect of this position is dealing with SARS

Pros: Great communication within the company
Cons: Home based and Child in office on holidays and afternoons
