Surgical Innovations Reviews

Excellent Learning Curb

Walk in the glass building, everyone greets, always smiles around the office. Team work is needed and we all assist each other with queries. Put the PC on, log into Outlook and Pastel, sign for orders to be invoiced. I place all the straight orders ontop and all the consignment below. Prioritizing is key! The phones ring with queries, I immediately assist the phone call queries ,invoice and briefly check my mail queries from doctors and reps. Urgent things get attended to immediately, the not as urgent is dealt with after 14:30 when we have submitted our urgent orders before cut off. I have learnt alot about working under pressure with cut offs and working as a team to solve problems I enjoy working under pressure, it makes the day pass faster and I do not like sitting without work on my desk The most challenging aspect of the position is the Reps and their consignment stock not balancing, allocating stock when not logged on the system

Pros: Learn alot about Surgical equipment
Cons: Company is very Cultural

Putting systems and structures in place

It was hard coming from a J&J company where all the rules and regulations are in place. They leave no margin for error. This company however focused on acquisitions and the more products they could lay there hands on the better with no real planning or resources to drive the sales. There were almost always either too much product forecasted or too little. No pre-launch plan existed and there were no business strategy in place.

Pros: I moved across 3 businesses in 3 months
Cons: It was crisis management at its worst
