Strategic Personnel Reviews

Opportunity to learn more about South African companies.

A typical work day is made up of communications with people at all levels both internally and externally as well as both by telephone and in person. Carrying out duties from both management and workers. Dealing with the mail both incoming and outgoing by courier and ordinary mail. Booking meetings for management and board members on outlook. My relationship with co-workers is cordial and extends to well after we have worked together. I have learnt to deal with fellow workers with respect irrespective of their level in the company. I have learnt to embrace other people's cultures and languages for our mutual benefit. I have enjoyed the exposure of a diverse number of companies and meeting different people at regular intervals. The most challenging aspect is having to learn new systems and methods of doing work continually. This has to be done very fast in order to minimize downtime.

Pros: One gets to learn the different types of switchboards, different systems used by companies from time to time and different cultures
Cons: Because one does not spend enough time at a company, the opportotunity for promotions passes one.

Good space to learn in

A friendly atmosphere and a fun space where creativity is admired and integrity is adored. Although it is a fun atmosphere the administration is run in a micro management manner. But if you know your stuff then you are left alone to do your thing.

Pros: Good space to prove your dedication
Cons: No growth prospects, only half day position
