Ive learnt alot about occupational health and safety at sasol synfuels is a very dangerous place whereby safety is our first key we were given opportunity to experience working in different fields

It was a good learning curve.

I worked at a Store room,as a flag last,tally and spotter.it was great workforman, junior engineer and cloing haas a team and with different kinds of people.the greatest memories were created and the experience was over whelming aspecially for me because I love a challenge it was sad as a contract ended and we had to.paet ways.but it was fun the most I enjoyed my work and what I was doing I'm looking forward to new experiences and other kinds and g jobs

Pros: New expirence and great opportunity for promotion
Cons: Normal working hours unless we where behind schedule which we understood we had to push by working over time.

Learning Curve

In a typical day my duties are to ensure that the team which is the people I supervise work safely and productively. I will inspect their machines and do minirisk assessment for their day work which will be relevent with their working environment. I will then plan the days work with the management team and I will inform my team then during the shift I will also monitor their progress and effect any stratagies which improves production.

Pros: promotion to be a site manager is available in my position
Cons: Being a qualified engineer working at the plant was not satisfying in terms of my caree

Being production driven

- Making sure that our inspectors are equipped with the right information to carry day to day inspections, surveillance reports. - Being able to communicate with the people from different levels and having that mutual respect - To be humble, patient and team work - I'm a driven person, seeing a plan comes together and the end results - Most challenging aspects that we face as a contractor is meeting deadlines especially when some of the information is required from different departments
