• Media Liaison, international relations and protocol. • Profiling, research and investigations. • Represent Department of State Security in official delegations to bilateral discussions. • Control and coordinate the multifaceted liaison processes. • Co-ordinate regular and routine liaison meetings. • Arrange and coordinate DDG’s liaison meetings, as well as, those of the Chief Directorates (weekly). • Update liaison service profiles in consultation with the Chief Directorates Liaison Officers • Give guidance and assistance with regard to liaison matters through official channels. • Ensure that all liaison visits are planned in advance as far as possible. • Handle mutual visits with diplomatic skill.

Pros: I learn something new everyday ,I am diligent,proficient and Professional.
Cons: I sometimes cant take criticism very well.

Skills and learning

I am day by day work with information analysis and investigating crimes. Relationship of co-workers is of high standard due to professionalism that we uphold. I enjoy most working under difficulty situation or nuder any circumstance, during the investigation processes. I learnt a lot to mention few, I learnt to investigate, research and presentation skills. The most challenging aspect of the job, is when no resources are in place to accomplish per tasking at hand.

I am currently doing corporate governace and compliance to enhance my skills in the field. I have been involved in projects to assist in policy making and risk assistance to the division.

Morning operational meeting tasking etc Working in project teams to ensure optimal performance Learned a lot in securing sensitive special events and deterring organise crime Enjoy empowering people through coach and mentoring and eventually see optimal results Is to be patient but its very important in security environment to ensure effectiveness of any security strategy Received promotion based on performance as the company required was effective Working 24hrs if required on short notice

Working for the government in SA is an eye opening experience. You get to meet up with different people in many different types of industries. You get to be exposed and learn a lot from your colleagues as well as clients all the time
