A dynamic and ever changing opportunity.
A typical workday will be a focused interaction about the progress of the projects on a daily and milestone basis. The meeting with different team members, project managers and stakeholders. It will be activity driven, mitigation of risks and issues and the resolution of matters with the teams and systems. The success of the program is mostly dependent on the relationships with the team members and the stakeholders. The mandate must be clear and I found that the regulatory projects do get most attention in mobilizing the organization towards achieving the objectives. The most challenging aspects of the job was to continuously inject the required energy to keep momentum to deliver to the end. The other challenge is the mobilization of people in the organization who does not have a dedicated role on the program. They have to manage their own time and add the program deliverables to their daily tasks.
Pros: To do a job I believe will add tremendous value in the organisation

Learning curve, chance to grow and be fit for tge work field
Its is quit an exciting place to be at because it bribgs challenges everyday it is a place that helps you understanda how important it is to commit with your work and be dedicated becausw it a risky place to be which need one to be cautious at all time. You always get to see the day come to an end but it quit a good place to be as a begginer. It has got friendly people that are always willing to assist working together and all. It us quit a stressful place when it comes to customers not understanding the procedures of the bank and how you have to deal with different tempers each day it has got. However it is quit exciting when you assist a client and they are happy with the service. Our manager is the best makes the place to feel at eaze, she is always jolly and friendly with her staff she is quit good

Family orientated Culture
The culture within Standard Bank is very family orientated, i say this due to my entire team not viewing themselves as employees but family members. In time of need we all support each other and promote greater aspirations for all. My working environment is unique and blends in with everyday work to provide positive results. My every day work is demanding and challenging, this is one of the defining factors that gives me the motivation to excel within my area and team.

I have become in the stand in postion for Head of the Area for the duration of 4 months period.
Managing of bank accounts disbursement/receipts accounts (Group Finance, Retail Finance, Travel Receipts, Gallery and Agriculture) Managing of debtor books (Employee, sundry, one-time and inter-companies debtors for both local, Africa regions and outside of Africa). A typical work day: Manging of vendor books for both local, Africa Regions and Outside of Africa Managing of invoice processing, accounts payable, foreign payments and relationship management Managing of fixed assets processing and reporting Managing of Corporate card issuing and spending Managing of vendor reconciliations and Delegation of Authority (DOA) Managing of Goods Receipt and Invoice Receipt (GRIR) What I have learnt: Implementing continuous improvements such as Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), turnaround (TAT’s), Go-paperless, build for the future, customer centricity, digitisation and a better financial shared services
