Excellent learning opportuinity

A typical work day would be to start the day of with a meeting and getting coffee. I would then help with whatever I can and I often relieve the receptionist when she has to do her other duties. We have a great working environment here at the college and I like working with these diverse group of people. We help each other whenever we can. I have gained a lot of admin skills over these two months. I have not worked on a daily basis in an office environment but I have to grown to love it here. I enjoy taking messages, helping the students and to do mailing and it is just all I want to do. I would say the most challenging of this intern job was at first the switch boarding because I was not exposed to it previously but I am more confident now.

Pros: Great experience, better my working chances.
Cons: Don't really get holiday when the college closes for the students.

Willing and open to new challenges

Working here was/is an eye opener as i deal with people with different cultures,backgrounds,upbringing etc. Adding a value in developing the future of the country is the most enjoyable part of my job. I work well with others and also on my own. As a lecturer learning takes place on a daily basis and on each period as the students brings something new to my attention everyday and every period. Getting the students to understand and not to separate school work from real life situation is challenging. On a typical day at work I just try to understand that we all have different opinions about something and that should be respected at all times,so i try to agree to disagree in an agreeable way when necessary.

Good learner

My typical working day is to: Open up the office switch on Every equipment that will be used for the day Switch on the gas Take out ingredients for the students Help facilitate the cooking class Check toilets regularly Clean bins Keep utensil stores clean Keep the food storage areas hygienically clean Order stock and do stock control
