Supply Support System Manager/Admin Verification Manager
Make sure that the Quarterly reports is handed in on time where I report loans, leases, damages, losses, stocktake progress, shortages and surpluses of stock on hand. Control all inventories and personal distribution accounts. I must make sure that the stocktake certificate is correct and true reflection and handed in at the end of the financial year. Approve leave and sick leave of members and do the merit assessments on a quarterly basis. Once a week I have a in-post training session with my sub-ordinates where I train the members on how the computer system works and how they must do certain transactions. When they pass the in-post training session I issue a competency certificate to the members. I manage the OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) and Quality Assurance in the section and uphold the business plan and stocktake program.
Pros: I strive to give my best, always to learn more and live in peace with the people around me
Cons: Being on time for work is very important and I makethe best of any situation

Work wise it good
We work 8 hours a day, and an hour lunch. Work is alright, getting along well with coworkers. Working on the military especially aviation industry has taught me to work with care and precision, we know that there is no second chance in the air. So do the job first time the right way. I have learned the importance of using the right tools and carrying out tools check at all times especially before the task and after the task. It's very exciting job after seeing the aircraft landing safely which you have worked on. Working on aircraft sometimes you have to work on confined space and be able to handle pressure since the aircraft might be needed serviceable in a short period of time.
Pros: The promotion is steady sometimes you find there's a backlock, causing a promotion to be delayed.
Cons: Sometimes you are expected to work longer hours, standbys and duty crew for a week.

Technical officer
I was at the airforce for 14 years with extensive deployment in electronics, repair, maintenance and investigation. Fault finding and system analysing. I was tasked with training and supervision.
Pros: i can work under pressure and i am a quick adjuster

Excellent learning
I'm 34 years old lady, energetic, hard-worker, fast learner, good communication skills. I'm currently working for the South African Air Force as a flight center assistant. Obtaining diplomatic clearances for our military aircraft abroad the countries as well as issuing diplomatic clearances for foreign aircrafts. (Either: Landing clearance to our military bases; Airspace clearance for entering our country; overflight clearance for routing through our country to other country). I joined the South African Air Force in 2007, done the basic military training for 3 months then went to Hoedspruit to military command and control school where i learned about aviation. I was posted in Pretoria doing the Tracking (monitoring South African Airspace), identifying all the aircraft (military and civilian). I listened to 6-7 frequencies to identify the aircrafts and monitoring their destination. I did weather observer course at South African Weather Service in Erasmusrand (Pretoria) in 2012 from Nov-Dec.

Experience
The Organisations is big and diverse. I'm a Technical manager/ logistic officer. Our day to day business is operations, making sure that aircraft are serviceable within the context of the aviation safety. Flight line operation, minor servicing, Major servicing. Spares control, control of shifts. I've gain lot of experience in working with people inside and outside the country, making sure as manager I meet the targets. Trustworthy to my employees, making sure I understand them and they understand my mission and vision, to meet the objectives. I enjoy my job because I work with people I always engage with them learning something from others

Great exposure in the logistics environment
There's many aspects of supply chain and logistics that reveals itself in the department of defence. Which makes it the ideal place to learn and understand the practicality of logistics and how it all comes together on operational level as well as system management level.

Excellent learning experience
I learned a lot from working at the South African National Defence Force. I am more disciplined person now from the military culture. I spent 14 years in the South African Air Force of which 12 as a Procurement Official. I gained 12 years of experience in the procurement and logistics environment.
