SOHCO is a private company .We build and manage quality and affordable rental housing. SOHCO operate projects in three major cities: East London, Durban and Cape Town. Social housing is only available to qualifying individuals .. SOHCO deal with eventualities uncounted on site at our various complexes, which is: Application Process, Debt Collection, Safety, Good Neighbour Charter, House Rules, Complaints My outgoing and friendly nature allows me to interact well with staff members, service providers and tenants. My passion is working with people, empower and educate people. I believe in building communities throughout South Africa . I have learnt over the years to be a good listener, attend to detail ,go an extra mile ,reach your monthly targets .Greatest challenges within my job is to reach targets on a monthly basis in the area of 100% debt collection, 1% Vacancy target rate monthly and tenant satisfaction at both Sites .

Pros: SOHCO allows opportunity to grow within the company .Key focus is Succession Planning for staff promotion
Cons: SOHCO allows staff to work normal working hours .

A typical day

Contact with clients/ tenant on a daily basis by telephone and some visit the office if need be. I have learnt to co-work with others, Team work is vital in my office as much as we all have our areas of specialisation and expertise. I am exposed to Legal actions and processes that our clients have to go through, due to breaching the Contracts, witnessing it in real life is too different from the books we study.

Pros: exposure and growth
Cons: clients stop me by the shops and malls to seek Legal advise and it seem i am always on duty
