A very good environment to socialize with people

a very good learning environment for every 1 no experience needed because u get trained and the salary is not so bad the problem is that we only work few days in a month you cant really have a budget because there plan changes every now and then but for newly matriculated people its a very good place to start and save money to study because we get off more often

Excellent leadrship skills. hands on person. good communication skills.

leading the quality for individual lines. working together with production staff. challenges lie where production verses quality, targets have to be met. very interactive with the staff. deal hands on with staff.

Pros: room for growth in terms of higher position
Cons: long working hours, shift work, too much to do for one person

Excellent training

I am Thulani Thamane a qualified fitter with a red seal section 13. I have a N3 machenical engineering and NQF 4 drafting certificate. I am work as a machine setter at snack works (baker's biscuits), I.am responsible for at the break downs, change overs,maintenance and shut downs.

Pros: I started as an apprentice and now an a qualified fitter.
Cons: I work shift and over time

Fast moving customer goods

To work for a FMCG company means that one has to work under preasure to meet deadlines and targets, which means that when you do a job there is no room for error.every second that is lost it is money.you need personal and interpersonal skills to work in such environment, you have to be self driven, innovative and be a team player at the same time. with the time i have spent at my work i have learnt to be a role player, to take ititiatives and to be a leader.I enjoy taking upon new roles you will notice on my cv that i have embarked on new roles a few times this past year, that is where I learn and grow.

Pros: you get to learn to work under preassure which teaches you,to attend to breakdowns faster.
Cons: Sometimes you work weekends and holidays

Working at Snackworks

A typical day at work is never the same especially due to union uncertainties. Hence, I often assist the HR manager in terms of generating reports. I have good relationships with co-workers however, favoritism strains relationships. Unfortunately due to previously working under a negative boss, I have learnt not to trust co-workers, to always have yourself covered. Challenges have been working under close deadlines.

Pros: Good exposure to fileds outside HR
Cons: Minimal career growth

Process improvement

Process improvement can be interesting when your work results in achievement of company improved efficiency, improved product quality and improved quality of work life for employees. Process improvement involves working with different stakeholders to understand what should be achieved as well as how to achieve that. It involves training and rearranging of certain process steps to achieve the required results.

Pros: able to learn new things
Cons: flat management structure

Fast learner ,always wiiling to grow ,interact on all levels and work under my own supervision

working as a team doing all duties when comes to packaging store receiving ,supply factory ,do returns ,receive ,stock count ,cycle count and house keeping as well

Increased my skill level in terms of mechanical work and fault finding , gained confidence in my electrical blue print reading , drawing and manuals. Got more responsibilities in term of working on hand with production in achieving their daily targets. Gained strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills.

Pros: Good for increasing the skills level
Cons: No bonuses

Hard worker and problem solver

I am a very determined, consistent and meticulous individual and take pride in all that I do. I am always willing to assist in the reaching of a common goal and I’m able to work in a team and on my own without supervision that is why I think that I’m a good candidate for this position.
