Hardware experience

Traveling long distances with own vehicle. Company does not support maintenance on vehicle. Not getting the equipment needed as promised for troubleshooting and diagnosing devices onsite. Covering the whole of the west coast and overberg area.

Every Man For Himself

I was contracted by the company where no work no pay is the general rule and a typical day involves signing in at the client site and working there until time to leave for the day. Co-workers keep to themselves if they are not in the same unit and I have not been to the head office in cape town yet. I have learnt that the timesheet is king although I enjoy the independence of the position. Most challenging is the fact that there are no benefits or bonuses.

Pros: Renewal of contracts timeously
Cons: No promotion or bonus for contractors.
