SIR FRUIT Reviews

Building a career

I started working at Sir Fruit as their only Creditors Administrator. The company has doubled in size over 5 years. Working for a relatively small company has afforded me invaluable opportunities to build my skills, as I have grown into the creditors manager role and been able to learn more by assisting with general ledger functions. I've always volunteered myself to assist wherever I can because I believe in supporting my team/organisation and there is nothing I cannot learn because I have a positive and confident attitude. I've also built on previous experience in performance managing two individuals and building my own EQ skills at the same time. Its has been challenging and rewarding but it is time for me to develop my career as there is no scope for that in my current position.

Pros: the family style working environment
Cons: no long term future prospects

Calling on all sales outlets as well as hotels, corporate catering. Stock rotation. Point of sale.

Meet with clients to introduce new products and cross sell. Service is key. If orders were not fulfilled I would deliver stock to my clients. I would generally call on 10 to 15 clients a day. We all had our own area's but if need I would help out fellow co workers with functions and brand activations or even deliver stock for them. What I learnt most with Sir Fruit is service. Being an expensive juice I would always make sure that regular calls were made and their fridges were full. Even after hours I would make a plan to get my clients needs met.

Pros: Great brand to work for.
Cons: No real position advancement

Communication skills

My knowledge at Sir Fruit has grown exponentially combined with working in a team and has taught me to fine tuned my communication skills and people's skills . There are times when payments are delayed because of human error that's because human error is unavoidable at times , but it's always resolved with astute trouble shooting .

Pros: Stability
Cons: No Growth
