A stepping stone into the metallurgical world
Basically on a normal day, i would attend the safety toolbox meeting. it is in that meeting where we will be told of the plant performance and our tasks for the day. i also get to be assigned a section at which i will be working at on that day as i am a Senior Processor who knows every section in the plant. i would then safely go out in the field to work whereby i will report incidents or accidents met onsite. i am a team player and try to fit in with everyone in my team. I have learnt that people come in very different in terms of character. my leadership skills have been sharpened. i enjoy being involved in project work also when my team go above targets. The most challenging thing is to break into "a man's world". Also, heavy manual handling.
Pros: once you understand the process operation,everything becomes easy

MAINTAINING OUR EQUIPMENT'S My daily duties at Sibanye Platinum
My daily duties at Sibanye Platinum every morning i collect call out book at the control, then create all call outs job cards and print them, and allocate them as per artisan who have attended the call out. order spares which were collected at the stores on call outs. confirm previous job card that i left with out doing the previous day. check my created requisitions are realesed and if they have order numbers and do follow ups. create suborders from daily inspections. I have a good relationship with my foreman, artisans, PMA and PMO I request help were is needed and encourage artisan to bring back the job card to be completed to avoid backlogs. I have learned that we must always work as a Team to have productive shifts in the company.If my colleague have too much work a assist cause he also assist me in time of need, communication.

Production
Main focus on production and Safety is company strategy. There is lack of development for knowledgeable employees and the difficulty of being mentored. Production decline due to declining reserves and expenditure high as a results of non productive overtime and cost excallation due to over spend on budget.

WORK
i do have 13 years in the HR discipline serving three thousand s in employees. On daily basis one deals with seeing to it that there is a good relationship between supervisors and subordinates by encouragingand advising thathey should coach and counselling instead of always goung for disciplinary charges.i do have a good relatrionship with my co workers. i have learbned that i should stand my ground when coming to the application of the policy and procedure of the company never compromise .what i ejoy most is to resolve issue, commuicate more often with unions to find out whhether there is some satisfaction among employees.The most challeging aspects of my job is to see to it that we have a healthy ER climate that ensure there strikes are avoided

I have excellent human relations, Leadership skills, Loyal and commited.
I have strong attributes and capable of team members. I'm enjoying new challenges in order to explore my career and strengths. I learnt to work in different diversity environment. The most challenging aspects of my job as learning curve is conflict whereby I have to be honest and assertive in order to be no biased.

Good worker
Good company. Production driven. Take care of the people and they do give changes for propotion. Training is availible to better your self in your current position. Yearly binuses. Safety is number one prority.

At work one must be focused
It is good and challenging at the same time because I work with different people every. I have a good working relationship with my co-workers. One must be calm and patient.
