Excellent oppertunity to Invest in Poeple

I do not have to have all the qualifications and degrees. But I am passionate about Skills Development at the Services SETA. As a manager I was focused an reaching targets, instilling a commitment within the staff that reported to me that they have to conduct themselves diligently and put as much effort in their work so that they may grow academically. We had regular meetings with regards to new developments and requirements as indicated within my CV.My colleagues respected me as I treated them with respect and always maintained a professional relationship within the workplace. It is because of the commitment and respect of my colleagues that I was able to always reach my targets and deadlines. Disciplinary Actions against staff was difficult . I have done so with dignity and extreme consideration for the organisation rules and regulations and the law. The most enjoyable part of my job was when we prepare for a graduation ceremony.

Determined and willing to learn

ENSURE SECRETARIAL WORK INCLUDING – TYPING, TELEPHONES, DIARIES, APPOINTMENTS AND ARRANGING MEETINGS. I LEARNED TO WORK IN A TEAM ANFD GAINED MORE KNOWLEDGE ON HOW TO DEAL WITH CONFLICT IN A WORKPLACE. I HAD A VERY GOOD RELETIONSHIP WITH MY CO-WORKERS AND WORKED CLOSELY WITH OUR SENIOR MANAGER. THE CHALLENGING PART IS HOW TO DEAL WITH THE PROVIDERS WHO DID NOT WANT TO FOLLOW SIMPLE RULES.

Great organisation

I have been exposed to different fields since i`ve arrived at Services SETA and my work duties include Stakeholders relation, filling, sending communiques to all service providers, provide reports capture, quality and accuracy of capturing in terms of scope and type of application, request of accreditation certificates, updating spreadsheet, assist to queries received telephonically and through email. i have a good relationship with my co-workers since i am always available to assist whenever they need assistance. I have learnt how to cooperate with different stakeholders and to work well in a team with colleagues. I always want to work from my co-workers and managers and ask for assistance when necessary. I have always been receiving so much attention from different stakeholders since i respond promptly to queries, although its a positive since its a learning curve for me as an intern.

Excellent exposure

I work very well my team, however the general staff is hard to deal with, there is a lot of negative . Management does not want to take accountability, they leave everything to HR. Th These is lack of communication in particular the senior management general day is good though and bit challenging

ICT Experience

4 years ago when I joined them, IT was no existent. I started by building a proper server room, then also drafted an ICT strategy which was to take the whole organisation forward. Core Systems are currently being developed after reengineering all business processes. Right now we have a stable environment, people know what route to follow when they engage with ICT department. ICT signed an SLA with the whole business in delivery a service to them.

Cons: Office Politics and deployment of Ministers affects all the time
