Opportunity to broaden my horizon
I’m currently on a road project. This project I learned the deference from a factory point of view to road works. The risk is more due to uncontrolled traffic. Road users not adhering to traffic or to traffic controller. Stop and go controls due to day and night shifts. At the same time dealing with the covid and strikes that I was not used to at LTA. Dealing with people and the environment at the same time can sometimes be a bit challenging. Being out in nature learning some much about the environment interacting with people and there believes about nature. Sedtrade gave me the opportunities to go and study as well. The courses I did were: Venomous snake handling – I have a permit to catch and release First aid level 3 Covid PPE Fire fighting level 1 Hazchem Hand tools Staking and storage Emergency co coordinator
Pros: give me a change to gro and show my strength and weakness

In-service training
a work day from 6am-5am work well will co-workers. I've learned road building, traffic accommodation along with many other road construction Techniques. I enjoy the work aspect but the biggest challenge is working 6 days a week and traveling over 150km to get home.

Excellent learning curve
Sedtrade was a very good company with lots of opportunities and a company that you would grow in.the co-workers are not so good very rude,jealous and back stabbers they like seeing some one fall,I learnt alot from team leaders and the engineers about construction from layers works,pipe crossing and concrete works.i really enjoyed site alot course I could meet alot of different type of people and learn alot from them and being on site just tought me how the do the actual work practically. The challenge is there's a break of communication and there's no chain chain demand.management takes advantage of labour rights.

Excellent learning curve
The company is slow growing company which is trying to find itself. It has great potential. Even though the owners still has a lot to learn about running a huge company but give it two more years it will be ranked with other big company in the country.

Sedtrade is a Stable Company and a joy to work for Sedtrade. They give one an opportunity to expand and that is why one do not mind putting in the hours and effort
