A great learning department, excellent work experience

Everyday I learn a new thing that gives me an additional experience regarding my qualifications, my relationship with my co-workers is a good and a healthy one, we balance on our work and give out good results. I have learnt to always be punctual and do my work to the best of my ability, what I don't know I know that I have to ask in order to get things right. I enjoy spending time with my colleagues socializing with them and giving out ideas that motivate us to be better employees and perform to the best of our ability. The most challenging aspects of the job is the workload does tend to increase, though it's still manageable, it may just mean working a bit later depending on the work. as long as you go in knowing you'll be working to a tight deadline you can adjust your approach accordingly so as to prioritize the tasks that need completing the soonest so you don't end up with a backlog.

It is an interesting stepping stone

It is an excellent learning curve, it was a stepping stone for mt career, and i have been exposed to a lot of things that are related to being a senior person in the marketing and communication department. i have also learned to manage people, their performance appraisals, and leading a department. A typical workday depends on what day of the week it is, and the months, according to our industry Early February, consolidating information for the annual report, April preparing adverts for Trimester registration, also preparing for May graduations. June preparing adverts for semester registrations, July to August Exhibitions,September, ordering of communication material for the following year, preparing adverts for the January registration.

Pros: there are no opportunities for growth,however i learned a lot, compiling content for publications, for advert and the website. i had a platform to initiate those projects and challenge myself as i did not have anyone senior who was knowledgeable about what i should be doing. I know how to manage staff in a unite, i know how to coordinate activities, to compile a year plan and management plan.

Experience

i have learned to work with customers. learned more about admin work and also be able to take initiative. i am a hard working and dedicated person. i take pride in whatever i am doing. i am a multi task and i am able to work with people in a group. i work very well with my supervisors and follow their instructions very well. i enjoy taking calls and helping customers and also find it easy to learn the job. The most challenging thing is when the customer doesn't get help on time, and when its month end i have to invoice.

Excellent

I enjoy working at Sedibeng as my duties is to interact positively with people which is something I do.lecturers enjoy working with me since I always welcome and help them with a smile.Students feel to come and enquire since they realised how friendly i am towards them I have learnt to submit work in required deadline and handle pressure at work. I enjoy assisting students who are in need of help. The most challenging thing is when we come across examination.there is a lot of work and pressure that sometimes strain our health

Very initiaive

I Vanessa Mashele i have studied N6 Management Assistant at sedibeng TVET college, i am currently working as administrative clerk (trainee) at sedibentg TVET college vereeniging campus. My duties is to assist students, lectures and clients with admin functions. I have a good communication skills, problem solving skils and good understanding of Batho Pele and government policies.

Good training

I studied electrical apprenticeship at Sedibeng TVET college where I did my theory and practical for 6 months where i learn plc programiming and panel wiring ,lesedi local municipality for 6 months where I did electricity customers service.winds 2000 armature winders for six months where I learn about electrical motors

Good training and leaened alot on Adminstrative Deparment

Everyday we atted meetinhs and i had to be early at work to take minutes every morning. Helping students with the enquiries and making copies for them. Receiving assets and check the invoices if evething is received and in a good condition. I was doing everytthing concerning admin work.

Pros: Learned things i did not know and othe departments
Cons: Woking hard and extra hours
