Learning curve

Managing a team of filed workers, that is Broker Consultants and Sales and Service Consultants. Assigning work to my email correspondence consultants on a daily basis. Also managing three walk in centres in Johannesburg, Welkom (Free State) and Polokwane (Limpopo). I work closely with the Brand and Communication department , as i need to pass the needs of the clients and they need to ensure all those are addressed . I have learnt to be very diverse in my approach , since i work with professional and down to layman stakeholders the most challenging aspect is that medical aid is a grudge purchase and/or service. You always on your toes to retain your current clients and attract new ones in a very competitive industry .

Pros: Very dynamic industry that teaches/develops you all the time
Cons: Shrinking market as people cannot afford medical aid and companies are not making medical aid a condition of employment

Diverse field of experience

My typical day starts with a prayer thanking god for the opportunity to be able to assist our members with what ever might be bothering them. Once at the office is always best to interact with and get a feeling of how my fellow staff are doing, i am a high energy level individual who is always joking around just to boost staff morale. Being an employee of such a diverse group of employer i have learned to always be willing to learn new developments in the industry that i am working. The most exciting time for me is when a member i have assisted comes to our office and congratulates,hugs,kisses and say all the nice thing about the service i have given to them. i have to say the most challenging aspect of my job is when a member that i have dealt with passes.

Excellent learning curve

Medical aid company where we work with medical claim. learned different - diagnosis, tariff and hospital auth as claims are auth driven. - Helping patients who are not able to process claims in order for the procedures can be done in Dr's room and Hospitals - Challenges is when there are late auth as we can process claims for processing. It is such a great honor to work for sechaba but growth is the most important thing as putting more effort and not being recognized.

Learned what is the role of accountant as well as bookkeeper

Every day is busy day. My colleagues and i we like family we get along together nicely. I have learned the importantance of accountant as well as bookkeeper what do they exactly do when they come to work. Working at Finance is something that actually gives me smile every time i wake up because is something i went school for and i like to work with numbers also working in a company like Sechaba it actually manage to push me so that i must further my studies to become CA. What i enjoyed about my job is that my input was highly appreciate. The challenges that i have is that during auditing time the work speed i must increase it because of we have to reach deadline on time

Pros: I have grabbed everything that will make me a better person outside in terms of experience

You have to find ways to make yourself and the team succeed.

1. Ensure that the SLA's are met on a daily basis 2. Assist with all escalations 3. Excellent relationship with staff 4. Every day in the Call Centre is a challenge 5. It is rewarding when a customer's needs are met at the end of a call 6. Love going the extra mile to assist customers and co-workers 7. Most challenging aspect is how to achieve the SLA's when we are short staffed 8. Maintain a good working relationship with other departments 9. Enjoy teaching staff enhancements to make their work easier 10. Enjoy communicating with staff about new changes 11. Trust is essential

Not nice to work for

The company does not appreciate the employees. No relationship between the top management and the staff. Employees have to organise their own social to build the realtionship. No bonuses, no communication

Ability to learn

good day please note i am a young and energetic lady, willing to learn and quick to grasp things. i am a team player and always willing to go the extra mile to give the best customer experience.
