Learning curve

It's an interesting place to work for from an engineering standpoint. It's very relevant to what I've learnt as an engineer. We train operators to go into the plant and slot in seamlessly. It is also great for me to gain important knowledge which wasn't taught as part of a course structure at university. Therefore this will help me once I get back into the industry.

Excellent staff component

I have really enjoyed time at my current As i have learnt so many different aspects of the chemical industry that i did not know was relevant to my degree. It helped me learn proper client to customer communication skills as well gabe me the ability to speak and present topics to large audiences. As much as I enjoy my time working for this company the only reason i would choose to leave is because there isn't much room for personal growth as i have already reached the highest posting available for myself.

Pros: Great work environment
Cons: Little to no room for promotion

Facilitator

I have a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering from DUT and 5 years facilitation experience. I have one year's experience from sapref refinery as a process technician and one years experience as a research assistant from UKZN Thermodynamics Research Division.

Pros: Teaching /helping people
Cons: Salary, no benefits, management treatment towards staff is extremely poor.

Excellent learning curve

The working environment is usually good. The staff is usually easy to work with. There is no recognition when there is a job well done, but as soon as something isn't up to par on the managerial side, the lower level staff would have to take the fall. There has been a lot of learning, new aspects for the company as well as personally, which was interesting.

Pros: The working environment
Cons: No room for growth, progress and hardwork are overlooked most of the time.
