Good learning curve and Healthy relationship with Colleagues

I consider myself as a friendly person, I have a good relationship with Colleagues. When I given the opportunity to perform task. I make sure I perform to the best of my ability,i meet my manager expertise and I can be accountable for any job given.My duties at Scaw Metals were:Gather necessary Engineering documents, specifications and drawings, Compile all information and make figures accordingly, Read and interpret Electrical Drawings, Design Electrical panels, Attending Electrical breakdown and solve any fault, Ensure cleanliness of Machines and Machine components, Daily, weekly and Monthly reports on the conditions of the equipments.

Pros: Scaw Metals is the company where you can gain and learn a lot in Engineering field. And for myself it is a platform where the student can grow and be more exposure in their field of studies.

Excellent experience gained

Scaw metals is an excellent company to work for extremely supportive in achieving better knowledge in improving employees skills. They innovative with trying new ways for improving company standards. Understanding when it comes to ethical values from management that deals with deadlines in a professional manner. Due to the metal industry that faced problems , customers sales decreased and the company faced problems in downsizing employees. My daily task involved customers age analysis review of all due and overdue customer to follow up on payment , outstanding documents and issue to be resolved. Capturing of daily payments received from the bank to the customers accounts to clear invoices being paid. Month end reports for management to close off for all sales outstanding and reviews why its still outstanding.

Pros: Learned and gained tremendous knowledge
Cons: Opportunities where difficult

Excellent learning

Since I started working here, I have learnt a lot in Training and development and also developed myself with skills that I didn't know I was capable of knowing. I had an opportunity of doing or attending different courses for free and I have met and developed a very good relationship with my co-workers. The only problem is that they don't hire and also they pay peanuts, the bosses are rude and we always have cases of the owner assaulting black employees both male and female.

Cons: peanuts pay and bad working conditions

Good experience

We work 8hours but there's also overtime but unfortunately I was rentrenched in 2015 but it was a good working experience but I have learnt many things nd I am able to apply myself in any given task that I am given.I am a hard worker nd my previous employer can vouch for that

Inclussive working environment

great working culture which is inclussive, non sexist, non racial , non tribalistic. great interaction between and amongst all levels. peverance of an open door policy. What i enjoy mostly is the liberal to experiment on work challenges which has led to innovations

Good experience exposure

Eltra Analysis of carbon and sulphur. ICP Analysis of slag, steel, and raw material. Wet chemical analysis of slag, raw material, chrome, and steel. Full chemical analysis with steel the use of spectrometer. Full chemical analysis of slag and raw material with the XRF. Fusing, crushing and dissolving using different techniques.

Pros: No opportunity for permanent employment
