Good day I am currently working for SBT Building and Civil. I have been working as a Quantity Surveyor and estimator for 7 years now, handling jobs from 5 Million up to 90 Million, including commercial, industrial, residential, renovations and civil contracts. I normally use two days in my week to visit all my sites and chat with the site formans to get a good idee of the contract and for problem solving. The rest of my week I perform my duties as a QS or Estimator (chasing subbies for prices; creating a BOQ; site meetings etc.) I have a good relationship with our office staff as well as the site staff, as I have worked on site with them, in my 1st year. I have learned alot from my co workers, from formans to estimators. Learned to know my JBCC contract.

Pros: Oppertunetie to grow and become a director
Cons: Salary is not market related

Working as a student quantity surveyor.

I worked as a student quantity surveyor and Construction manager at SBT BUILDING . Rhey helped me to get exposure into the career I chose. They helped me understand Building construction work. They included me in everything they were going be it a meeting with clients and professional team, preparing the payment certificate of work done, ordering of material etc....ejhcjngubftu

Pros: Respect work time
Cons: Long hours of working but I didn't mind.
