Learning curve and challenge

I am an account manager, only service clients. Dont work at the office. Work from home. Own set up, laptop, internet line, telephone and work station. Schedule meetings in the morning or afternoon so that I at least have time for admin and urgent queries. Good relationship with the staff i worked with. I am very disciplined, things to be done right the first time. . I was hoping to get more help on the admin side, had to do everything myself, such as quotes, claims, renewals I am well trained. I enjoy sorting out a problem I enjoy helping and training people to also understand the insurance industry, not only focusing on 1 aspect. Departments are very isolated , very frustrating. The most challenging, I always had to go to more than one person before i could get an answer. There cor business is the Hospitality Industry, I had a variety of commercial clients and still had to source my own insurers I have learnt a lot about the hospitality industry and the players in the market.

Pros: Good exposure on Hospitality environment.
Cons: Not enough exposure or promotion opportunities

Did not accomodate my portfolio of clients.I wanted more of a challenge.

Worked on my own from home. Servicing my clients and attending to their requirements I enjoyed. I stayed informed on new products as well as FAIS changes and requirements.

Pros: Stayed informed on all changes of products and FAIS requirements
Cons: No growth

Excellent learning curve

It is very relaxed and fun place to work, they pay a very small salary and looks to very little opportunity for growth. they work in partnership with larger groups but fail to offer the same rates as they do.they do not provide the basic extras eg. medical aid, etc. i enjoy my work in correspondence with the clients and the preparation to provide excellent customer service, given the required skill and knowledge, you find that people without are still under the same financial if not higher.

Pros: Very relaxed environment
Cons: No growth
