My Daily Actions Routine

We do have daily back to back meetings to discuss both planned and breakdown maintenance requirements. Priorities and auctioning plans towards the list. I interact and liaise with process operations department being both operators and technicians to discussion the behaviours Give guidelines and coaching to the mechanical artisans on daily basis and have a good relationship with team. Though I am a team player however I do still enjoy working on my own. I have learned that one must be trusted to action the jobs that he or she is expected to do and on that note we can do our actions collectively. I enjoy working on planned statutory maintenance shutdown especially if it involves pressure vessels. The most challenging aspects of my job is to find relevant information and documentation as working on pressure equipment requires latest equipment drawings and design information, if this cant be managed properly it results in very difficult situations.

Pros: Sasol is a very stable and sustainable company. Very diverse environment to work in. We work what is called a flexytime system where by any extra hours worked can be be claimed back by time off.
Cons: Our overtime system does not reward in monetory basis, you can claim time off when the work load allows to a maximum of 4 hours a day without putting leave

Work for Sasol is a huge opportunity to work in a complex environment and give a chance to learn in different aspect. Sasol have a diversity of employees which is help to learn different culture and also learn from experience fellows at work.

I am passionate individual with a strong character and experience in the Facilities domain.

I have successfully managed Facilities at 2 of Sasol’s Business units in the past 12 years. Sasol is a dynamic company with Dynamic Individuals. They foster personal as well as Team Growth. If you put in the hard hours, then the rewards are good. I love working with the diverse people and cultures which in turn grows an individual. I have learnt much about ownership and taking responsibility.

A New Era

The company used to be a great place to work with an energetic workforce and a relaxed atmosphere between colleagues. Since the company has restructured, the management style has taken a dive for the worse, the general atmosphere has moved from being energetic to being lethargic and demotivated. There is a tendency of management to blame people when things go wrong as opposed to working with them to resolve issues.

Pros: Free car insurance for engineers that joined the company before 2013
Cons: Poor corporate culture currently, Opportunities for growth or promotion are rare to non-existant

Work as a programmer in the information technology industry where by i run programs, creat computer software's. I like my profession.I have a good relationship with my co-workers we understand each other .I have learn alot intis work place like how to work with people of different cultures ,with computers and I enjoy working online

Excellent working environment

Project management is all about team work . So one needs to understands the background and culture of all the team memebers withing the particular project. I have learned how to integrate all different cultures and expectations of all individuals whom are and were involved in my teams. It is always a unique challenges and one need to be flexible and eager to adapt to changes and challenges of which i did very well

Pros: You learn a lot everytime and every project deliverables have different methodology of achieving the set goals.
Cons: Working with different people of different cultures, religion and believes.
