Product Steward

Working for my Company is great, fun, even though it is most of the time crazy busy. There are stressful periods which are manageable through proper planning and keeping stable relationships with my colleagues and communicating frequently with my boss about expectations such as deadlines and the duration of the project. Being the face of Product Stewardship is not easy because the whole SHE Department(Since regulatory compliance is a main pillar of an effective EHS management program), Sales and Marketing as well as customers globally depend on you.

Pros: Tremendously growing globally, being recognised for your good work globally, knowing and understanding my product very well
Cons: Working long hours, sitting in late meetings because of global customers(times differ per country), travelling for risk assessments, audits, product inventories, etc.

Good cooperate environment

Sasol standard a great company and you knownthat when it comes to stability and remunation. Climbing the cooperate ladders is next to impossible especially in Durban ol

Cons: No growth and small salary increase

G,Great company to work for,with a lot of growth opportunities. I have learned about team work and most importantly leadership. I was often given an opportunity to act as a department manager. I learned about working with different people and personalities.

Pros: Great opportunities for developments.
Cons: Working over weekend and public holidays

I am currently not working for Sasol. Currently unemployed. But working for them has been amazinh

. I'm terms of growing as an individual. The relationship with Co workers was also amazing. The one with my learner practitioners was one of a kind as well. It is a very good environment for one to grow their careers.

Cons: 9hrs a day

Excellent learning curve

-I have learned a lot about how to prepare for SHERQ meetings, to compile incident analysis and monthly reports. -I have learned about managing my time and maintaining a high level of professionalism. -The workplace culture was welcoming and promoting excellence in all we do. -I was leading HAZOP sessions and incident investigations.

Cons: Not delivering what is expected
