working for sandvik is very challenging and that's what inspires me the most,im always eager to go to work because I learn new things everyday at work. I am self supervised with my colleagues and we are a team which makes extra efforts on our daily duties. I have learned to work with different kind of people who have different prospectives.again I have gained experience in different mobile and trackless mining machines. I take my job very seriously on a daily basis and I enjoy the communication with my team as we understand each other very well. The most challenging aspect of this job is when the client is in need of something that you don't have at that moment and I must make means that the client gets what is wanted.

Willing to learn

a day at work we start at 05h00 am in the morning until 16h30 in the afternoon we do maintenance and we attend break downs. my relationship with my co-workers is is good we use our company co-values eg team spirit ,innovation, collaboration, one goal so working together we can achieve more. i have learnt a lot from my co workers and and how to do fault findings and trouble shooting and how to maintain our equipment what i enjoy most is the challenges we face on daily basis especially on break downs on the production line eg the equipment is standing an that means no production . and we have to do fault findins and trouble shooting we get it right.

Great learning experience

I enjoy my current role in Automation, lots of challenges and no micro management. I have a good relation with my co - worker , however the only downside for me is to travel a lot. I don't mind on knocking off time, as long as I have delivered what is required of me for the day, overtime doesn't exist in my vocabulary.

Excellent leadership

Great company lots of travelling different mine, different working environment, operations various maintenance styles and management. Different types of miming equipment with different function and purposes. Different miming styles and different minerals. I've learned a great deal through my time and gain a lot of experience in hydraulic and electrical skills

Pros: Learning the different types of mining equipment, operation and fuctions
Cons: It's difficult to master all of them

Excellent Learning centre

Clock in and sit for a safety meeting. Do housekeeping and receive job cards.Everyone gets busy on their allocated work. Allocate apprentice and assistants on how they will help. If another artisan faces a challenge we help each other go through the problem and fix it together. At Sandvik, i'v mastered how to work as a member of a team and that team work is necessary.Team work is vital thing for the production of a company and we get to learn new challenges everyday.

Willing to learn and to perform

I have good experience in maintenance on mining equipment in underground works and are always willing to learn more from seniors to build up my experience to overcome downtime in breakdown
