It is an excellent learning curve I must say
It has been a great experience working for Samro especially in a leadership position. I have learnt how to deal with different characters of people. I have learnt how to relate with different cultures. I have been able to manage my group and inculcate the importance of differentiating between Organizational culture and personal culture. I have been able to make sure they accept one another and work as a team. I have been able to make sure they plan their daily activities.

Professional learning curve
I am a young professional women looking a job to broaden my horizon and get more experience. I adapt easily to new environments and willing to go the extra mile for the benefit of the company.

Excellent Customer Service
I work with musicians as a customer experience consultant, making certain that our clients receive excellent customer service from the organisation. I consult with clients and give them feed back if and when necessary. I also do administrative work like ordering stationary, booking meeting and typing the agenda and take minutes. I do reception duties as well as the switchboard. I am a team player and work well with my co-workers always assisting them and the team as a whole in reaching targets and goals. I have gained interpersonal skills and strengthen my listening skills. I enjoy communicating with different people in different languages. I can type fast (35wpm) and accurate. The most challenging aspect of the job is to have to tell a client bad news or that their query has not been resolved to other parties who are incompetent or show less interest in the needs of the client.

Eye Opening
Samro is a relaxed company, with a lot to learn. Joining the company was an eye opening experience as got to learn a lot about how Royalties work, that took me away from assuming that our musicians are wasting money as it is the assumption with many, especially when they pass and there is no money for them. Earning salary through royalties can be tough and need a strong and passionate person to understand and work hard to ensure that their craft earns their living. The most challenging about our business is that there is a lot to learn, which cannot be learned in a space of a month, it is an ongoing process. For one to be able to learn as much need to ensure that, one has a close relationship with different departments as one piece of work might link 2-3 departments.
Pros: keep to the working hours, as i can still attend classes in the evening.
Cons: Not much of growth, unless moving to different departments with qualifications.

Growth
I have spent the past 12 years in the FMCG industry with a number of great companies in various positions, some companies include Brandhouse beverages, Edward Snell, Premier foods, Cadbury SA, British American Tobacco. I have a great abilities to work under pressure with various regions and channels. Have an excellent experience and understanding of the Net Sales Values, P&L, Route to market strategies, product launch executions, promotion planning and executions, reporting, standards of excellence. Amongst others, my experience advocates leadership, coaching, authenticity, integrity, honesty and some of my key strengths include being analytical, hard work, abilities to translate the pans and strategies to reality and results, result driven.

Excellent learning oppotunities
working hours 8 -4:30 Its fun being in the sales division I am a highly talented and experienced individual with an extensive background in administration My long term career goal is to continue to learn and grow my special skills and abilities

It is an excellent learning curve I must say
Working for Samro is enjoyable. It is however lots of work and less benefits. The Organizational Culture is so distorted that one cannot explain. The people come with their personal beliefs and implement them. There is too much ethnocentrism.
Pros: There are opportunities for Promotion .
Cons: Overtime not paid for.

Excellent learning curve
SAMRO is a musical company where we pay music composer's their royalties every three months it's a great company to work for and they are fair in all aspects. Though there's no growth opportunities which is very disappointing but it is the best company
Pros: Great for a first time job hunter
Cons: Working hours are 8 to 4:30 over time given on request
